Steam Winter Sale 2012 - Seriously Guys, It Was Over Two Months Ago! Move Along!

Oh I am doing quite well this sale.

Bought for Me:
EndWar
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
XCOM (Amazon)

Total: 35$ (XCOM was with an Amazon gift card received for Christmas, so out of pocket is $10)

Gifts Given:
Dark Souls

Total: 15$

Gifts Received:
FTL
Wargame: European Escalation

So currently $50 for all those games, I am at this point quite pleased.

wow... 125 posts since last night. I don't even think I'm going to skim

EDIT: Also a huge thanks to Cragmyre for KotOR. I played it on the Xbox when it first came out, but I've been eyeballing the Steam version to maybe go revisit it.

Civ 5 won the vote... what's in the GotY upgrade bundle? The store page is rather lacking in information about what's in GotY vs Standard.

I'm glad you didn't mind - no one had it on their wishlist, and of those few that didn't own it, I picked you

I feel special. I'm motivated now to not just let it sit on the pile.

Thanks to TuffaloBuffalo for Thirty Flights of Loving! I didn't even see it on sale, thanks man!

Thanks to everyone who entered!

Yaaaaaaay! Thankyew!

Oh Sweet! I must have missed that post! Thanks Kerplunk!

I grabbed a bundle from Amazon for Spec Ops the line and it came with Bioshock and Bioshock 2, which I already have. If anyone wants either Bioshock or Bioshock 2, shoot me a PM and it's yours. The usual 'no coffee grinders' rules apply.

Edit: And gone. Have fun!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/90...

Includes the Following Civilization V content
All 4 Cradle of Civilization Map Packs (Mediterranean, Asia, Americas, Mesopotamia)
Civilization Pack: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II)
Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca
Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia
Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark - The Vikings
Explorer’s Map Pack
Official Digital Soundtrack (Soundtrack not available on the Mac)

Gods and Kings is not included, but is also 75% off: http://store.steampowered.com/app/16...

Alright, I know that this didn't get the best reception when it was released, but is Stronghold 3 just awful?

I have enjoyed the others in the series and it currently sits at $7.50 in the Steam sale. Is it still a "pass it" at that price?

Nothing of significance really. It doesn't include Gods and Kings, which is the DLC you really want.

I've got a copy of just plain old Civ5 for whomever would like it. Shoot me a PM and I'll ship it your way via the evil evil money absorbing thing that is Steam.

Don't know if it's posted or not, but the FTL devs are selling the game themselves at the same $5 price on their site. You get a DRM free version plus a Steam key. So I recommend that.

Also I would assume they make more money on those sales.

Thank you for posting. I will use that information wisely.

Don't mess up your pile on my account

I also have a code for Bioshock 1 from this bundle. If any non-coffee grinders still haven't played it yet, PM me for a code.

Huh. I had no way to click through to get to an info page for the package. Thanks for the copy-paste.
I already have Gods&Kings, which I think includes Spain, Inca, and Denmark.
I don't play scenarios.
So, It seems the only thing of interest in that for me would be Polynesia, which isn't really worth $7.50 to me.

Thanks!

Got it already. I just love having more Civs to play with/as, but since G&K already has 3/4 of the Civs in that upgrade, I don't think I need it.
At least, I think G&K has the same things.

More and more I'm slipping on my will to hold off buying XCOM. Is the 33% off a pretty good deal for it right now or should I work my way through the rest of the pile some more?

Head over to GMG and get XCOM for $17.50 today with code GMG30-DPLIM-DN831!

Wow. Thanks and now my pile is heavier but my wallet isn't quite as light as I expected.

Again, Thank you WizKid for Torchlight 2!

And thank you Strangleblades for Botanicula!

And thank you IUMogg for Orcs Must Die 2!

And thank you RiverRatMatt for Metro 2033!

And thank you PXAbstraction for Legend of Grimlock & The Binding of Isaac!

This community is so awesome. And now my husband is super suspicious!

So tempting, but my pile is in the triple digits now, and I can wait until the summer sale. Jumped at Saint's Row 2 for $4.99 ($3.50 after the code), but it was out of stock.

At the end of the day, I will have either purchased Civ V or XCOM. Just not sure which one yet...

Though its not like I'm not already sitting on a pile...I just can't help myself.

Much thanks to PWAlessi for Bioshock 2! Been meaning to head back to that for some time now.

Accept my friend request and I'll enable you to get Xcom by giving you Civ5.

Just now caved and picked up both Walking Dead and FTL based solely on the podcast hosts' white-hot infatuation with those titles.

You won't regret either. Best two games of the year for me.

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Or an evil enabler, whichever you prefer.

Agreed. I'm still having a love affair with FTL 40 hours in.

Is Gods and Kings worth the money? I have X-Com, Warlock and FTL to scratch the turn based itch and Civ 5 never hooked me the way 4 did.

Also, I have a beta invite for DOTA 2 in my inventory PM me if you want it.

Gods & Kings is to Civ 5 what Beyond the Sword was to Civ 4. Almost. But G&K makes Civ 5 a *much* better game.

Muchas Gracias to Senor Bordone for the love of FTL.

Now I can be like the cool kids and see what all the hub bub is about.

PBR is still disgusting though.

Huge thank you for maddoc1979 for the gift of Deus Ex Human Revolution: Augmented Edition. <- it's got freaking everything!?!?!

Words fail me.
