GWJ site not displaying properly on Chrome?

Pretty much what the title says. Sometimes when I'm browsing the site on Chrome, it seems like it's in some sort of restricted or limited mode.

The left margin search function and quick links aren't displaying at all. Was trying to search for something and I can't since it's not even available. The curious thing, is that it will load the site normally for a few moments when I refresh, but then reverts to this limited mode when I click the cursor in the search box.

I tried looking in the Chrome settings, but I didn't see anything about displaying sites using different methods.

Thoughts?

All I can say is I only use Chrome and have never had any issues, despite using two different computers to access the site.

Is the adaptive CSS not working for you when you change the width of the page?

Not a techie, so I'm assuming that's when the posts/images are cropped to fit my window width?

That's something else that's been around for ages. The adaptive CSS was added a little more recently, and was to make the site more mobile friendly. As you adjust the width of your browser window, it adapts lots of elements on the web page, some stuff moves around and the text size changes. Less than 1020px wide is the first change.

Try unchecking "Use responsive style sheet" in your account settings, nel.

Ahhh, now I know what you're talking about. And I see that if I had read your original post a bit more closely I probably would have grokked it the first time around.
