A National Day of Mourning in Canada ( joke)

It seems today is the last day of the Canadian Penny. No longer will I receive a Canadian penny in the US as change because someone was to lazy to pick it out or take it home.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Canada.... *snicker*

It took a while, but our government finally realized that spending 1.6 cents to mint a 1 cent coin doesn't make any damn sense. I certainly won't miss 'em.

Nobody is more distraught than Coinstar.

But now how will they manage to get good luck?

Or maybe your change will now become flooded with them as the Canadian government sends operatives down here to unload all those now useless coins on unsuspecting US business owners.

I won't miss the penny at all, it was a waste of resources but now there's a MP who has brought forth a motion to eliminate the nickel as well and apparently replace is with 10, 20 and 50 cent coins I think. Like, what?
