Grand Theft Auto V

Does GTA Online make you feel like a badass in a crime movie? Do you feel like you’re writing your own “moving up the criminal ladder” rags to riches story?

They certainly wanted that, but were both limited by the format and bungled it. It's open world multiplayer, so that sort of kills any sense of progression outside of leveling up and getting better and cooler stuff (though by now the economy is absolutely borked beyond all reason). Could be different if you do the CEO stuff, but since being CEO just makes you the #1 gopher, I doubt it.

However, they also chose to write half of the heists to be a bunch of wanna be mercenary/tacticool sh*t where you are working for a really tediously written black ops dick, instead of outrageous criminal shenanigans. From what I've played of the Doomsday stuff, it's immensely silly, but also the black ops dick is back.

I essentially played it like a violent The Sims, where I collected outfits and cool cars, and occasionally shot people.

I'm too busy crashing Cargobobs into gunfights to feel like a badass.

Is there anyone still playing who could help out with this?

GAMERS: desperately seeking someone who plays GTA V on PC and has the Romero hearse and can help my son - he's very wary of online gaming cos he has autism and dyspraxia and is treated badly online, but he needs someone to help him get this vehicle. Please?

What is the hardest achievement in this game you have personally won?

Wrong thread.

I’ve been playing since launch day. I think I’m getting close to the end. I lot of times I just explore the world rather than do story missions. Once I’m done, I hope I can figure out the online multiplayer.

Haven't tried them recently, but back in the day online was absolutely excruciating both in console and PC. Heists were a great idea, but the execution was just bizarrely awful.

Like, to join a heist first you have to queue in a lobby. Assembling a team takes ages; you need to find people in the same step in the quest, etc. If a team gets found, then you go through several screens where everyone has to pick a role, uniform, etc, and each time you're waiting on everyone to choose before you can move on. Then there's a cutscene for several minutes (!!) explaining the heist, and then the thing finally starts. But if anyone drops out or disconnects at any point in the process, you all get kicked back to the lobby to start over.

The actual online quests were fun, but getting there was like winning the lottery. (Unless you have three friends online, then it would probably be pretty smooth.)

The online heists can indeed be fun if you coordinate and know your team, but a lot can still go wrong.

When it first came out, just Los Santos was okay to me... Coming on it's third release, they should have just built all of San Andreas again. Heck by each re-release we could have had a new city. GTA V PS5 would have been the final city in the state.

Only bright side I can see is what ever improvements they do for PS5 are coming to PC so, kinda curious to see what they do.
