Ninokuni: The Another World (Ghibli + Level 5 RPG) coming to PS3

I am absolutely not on the Namco store page hitting Refresh...

*cough* me neither.

Huh, going here seems to let you add it to the cart but the main page doesn't have that button. Maybe try that?

I might be wrong.

Got it!

The button was not laying out right in Chrome, it was below the box where I thought it should be.

Nice! That was happening to me too with Chrome it seems. I don't even need to preorder it, so I'm not sure why I was checking.

WOOOOO WIZARD EDITION PURCHASED WOOOOO!

*does a dance*

Trying to resist.

If you buy it you'll be cool.

You want to be in with the cool kids, don't you?

I want those purple sunglasses. LOOK AT HOW COOL THEY ARE!

Screw Ni No Kuni collectors edition, I'm buying a hundred dollars worth of purple sunglasses.

I did end up still passing on the super hyper wizard edition. Had it in the "shopping cart", but between the heavy price, shipping delay, and thinking about how much random stuff I already have to cull from my apartment as it is, I figured I should really just stick to the standard edition rather than adding to my clutter.

Not sure whether that makes me feel sensible or old.

I might be able to be talked into the standard edition and only 40 dollars worth of purple sunglasses.

But...But CUTE PLUSHIE!

HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO THAT FACE!

Ok...maybe I can swing for the wizard edition, and a pair of purple sunglasses to put on the plush.

Heh, I got it just for the art book.

I got it for the art book and soundtrack selections (now that I know it's part of it). I actually am gonna bring the plushie to work. I have some empty shelves that need tenants. Oddly, I really don't have any knick knacks that are great to bring to work. I guess I've done a decent job avoiding collector's editions and whatnot over the years.

For those interested in the steelbook bonus from Gamestop, that appears to be out of stock if you haven't already pre-ordered.

I don't think I'd call it an art-book, guys. More of a companion piece. You couldn't buy the game in Japan without the book.

I'll have the steelbook, but I do wish I could get that Wizard's Book. Just can't swing this in the budget, though.

If it's any consolation game has 100% of the content found in the physical Wizard Book.

Quickly checked metacritic just to see if more reviews were out. Looks like there are 17 up so far and most are fairly positive.

I've avoided any media covering this game, purposefully. But because of that I need some enabling now.

Begin...

Unfortunately, I don't think they make bandanas big enough to go around my waist.

I dunno, I feel like if "it's a collaboration between Level 5 and Studio Ghibili" isn't some kind of automatic enablement, then it's a lost cause. Because seriously:

They sell that stuff by the yard down at the fabric store. There are no limits!

I thought that was just for the DS Ni No Kuni game?

Encore! Encore!

Level 5 and Studio Ghibili, means nothing to me. I had never heard of them, until I heard of this game.

The game is gorgeous. What are the mechanics, typical JRPG? Don't mean to make that sound like a bad thing.

Level 5 is primarily known for Dragon Quest VIII, the Professor Layton series, and I think Dark Cloud?

Studio Ghibli is the animation studio which did Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and a slew of other titles. They're basically the Disney of Japan.
