It is a team possessed with Brown leading them. Go Kings!

Don't worry, Nashville will—3-1 COYOTES?! What kind of redonkulous playoffs are these?!

It was fun while it lasted, but I think the Coyotes will put the Preds out of their misery tonight.

I think maybe the Red Wings were the Preds Stanley Cup.

Oh gawd... the Burger King uniforms. Those were hideous as was the team.

Jonathon Quick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kelly Hrudy.

Those BK jerseys sell for well over $1,000 nowadays.

Fun Fact: Gretzky played for most of the teams we're talking about (Blues, Kings, NY), but didn't win a cup with any of them.

In other news, Lundqvist vs. Quick would be an awesome finals. I was originally hoping for a Detroit vs. NY showdown, but...you know...

Beat the Bruins, gave the game to the Rangers.

Joel Ward is my new favorite person.

I feel bad for Ward since he was a Pred for several years, but damn Joel wtf were you thinking?

Insert whiny Anakin/Darth Vader Pic here

The Caps game was intense. They really should have won. But the Rangers outplayed them for most of the third and Joel Ward made a boneheaded mistake.

Oh well, back to DC to take back home ice.

Let's Go Caps

As a fan of the Wild, I would just like to step in here quick and thank New Jersey for getting far enough to get us that 3rd round conditional pick from the Zidlicky trade. You may now proceed with your regularly scheduled losing, unless you're facing NYR as I think I want Gaborik's name on the cup less than Zidlicky's. Not sure about that though; Gabby was at least fun to watch the 3 games a year he played here. Go Kings Go I guess.

Wow, this has been an awesome series so far. Neither team is going to give an inch.

It's exhausting just watching this series. Can't imagine playing it.

Saturday is going to be a war.

That I will enjoy with comfort and agitation from a sports bar with a decent stout hopefully.

Hopefully NBC will play it online. GO CAPS!

Bring on the Devils!

Feh. Go lose.

So mean!!!

NY/NJ series is going to be absolutely nuts in this area.

9-1... 7 more!

The team that emerges from the East (NY obviously), will be a battle hardened team hardened for more blood. The Kings, after they dust there way to the finals, won't be ready.

Or they will continue to annihilate everyone in their path. It is hilarious to characterize the Kings team as anything but tough. A strong forecheck and defense keys their success. Sports cliches used to excuse weak performances don't win games.

I'm fully aware that every single team I choose to root for online immediately loses. So, sorry about that King fans.

Hey, the Blues didn't lose immediately.

Man, I honked on the Cardinals last week, and they proceeded to get swept by the Braves at home this weekend.

Don't think anyone has yet picked the Rangers to win a series. Most people picked Ottawa. Then the Caps. Now the Devils.

How can a team that has a possible Vezina winner, was top 5 in team +/-, top 5 penalty kill, who only had to tie the last game of the season to win the President's trophy, get such little respect? It's mind boggling.

Good for me though. I've acquired the monies for a nice new set of patio furniture with all the bets I've won.

Bye bye, Dale Hunter. Sigh...

That was unexpected.

Eh? That's crazy. The Rangers were the resounding favourites of everyone. I think most people thought it was a good match-up for Ottawa but no one was expecting them to win. The Caps series was a little different but everything I read still had the Rangers as the favourites but less so. 2nd in the league in points, and having Lunqvist, Gaborik, and Richards makes a team super dangerous.

I haven't picked against the Rangers yet. Maybe I'd predict LA over NYR, but I think NYR will win against NJD and would probably beat PHX too.

I definitely see Kings in 5 against Rangers. Honestly anyone but the rangers at this point and I'm happy.

I'm not too sure that it was unexpected(see PHT's coverage), but it's definitely sad considering what he did with them this year. Here's hoping that his replacement can keep the mojo going next year.

Agreed. I'm an Ottawa fan and even I conceded that the Rangers were probably going to take that series. It ended up being a lot closer than I expected.

I haven't been nervous since game 3 vs Vancouver. This Kings team is putting on a clinic.

6 more to go.

I don't care if Smith or Doan or Hanzel are suspended/fined or not. Nothing is stopping this team. I only say this because Brown was apparently not injured.

GO KINGS!
