Wow. The Rays brought their offense to Texas tonight. 4 runs in the first and never looked back on the way to 8-4 win.

But the AL East doesn't matter... Texas is going to win it all. Hadn't you heard?

Hmm...is Texas fan getting all Red Sox fan on us now?

I'm a Jays fan. I was taking a potshot at someone earlier in the thread who claimed that the AL East didn't matter due to Texas' dominance after ~12 games.

Yeah I just figured he was making fun of ESPN or something... they've already declared Texas is going to the World Series, despite it just being April.

I knew you weren't a Sox fan, that was more of a general statement toward Texas fans

EDIT: I forgot Neiman (5th starter) is pitching today so it may be a Rangers HR derby hehe

This video I found on Deadspin is really a must-watch for schadenfreude.

Local reporter hits on David Freese in a manner so awkward that I can't tell if it's staged or she's just nervous or what. It's a goddamn mess that I can't look away from.

It's still early in the season but let's not hand Texas the trophy just yet!

Yeah they finally lost a series this season. Go Rays!

I think I missed Washington getting ejected last night though, I was flipping back and forth between NBA playoffs.

Did see a nice stat on the ESPN article though: Evan Longoria is hitting .550 with runners in scoring position (11 for 20) He's been very clutch for us going back to last season's heroics, and hopefully can keep it going.

Woo! Rays in 12!

Gave 1 up in the 11th but got it back to force the 12th. Exciting for Mon night.

Ugh...Seems like my Tigers are imploding early in the season instead of late. They had a pretty strong start, but once Texas put a hurting on them they seem to have completely fallen apart. I mean, they got swept by Seattle for crying out loud! LOL Then we release Inge and Delmon Young decides to explode...Not a good first month of the season for Tigers fans.

Da. All it takes is an injury or two and there goes the season.

In other news, one day the Orioles will beat the Yankees and we'll be able to take them seriously. Not sure when it's gonna happen, but it has to ... right?

Jays walk off the Rangers after giving up the lead in the top of the ninth. Whew......

The only bad thing is that the buffoon who keeps blowing saved (Cordero) earned the win...... after blowing the save.

Rays win without Longoria. And despite giving up 9 hits, and only getting 3, win 3 to 1.

Unfortunately, Longoria has a partially torn acl and may be out for a month or so.

Partial hamstring tear. Estimates at 6-8 weeks, but there's always the chance it could be longer.

Of course he missed the first 20-30 games last year but came back strong. Hopefully he'll still be hot when he returns.

Annnnd Texas loses a second straight series to the AL East. My Blue Jays hammered them today.

Annnnd the Orioles beat the Yankees with Matusz pitching well, which is a rare site to see ... on both accounts. When will this dream end?

Chris Davis is hitting hot at the moment, which is good because has been Nick Johnson is hitting .033. Yup, one hit and it came yesterday. Cut the guy already.

As much as I love seeing the Yankees lose, I'd appreciate it if the Orioles could go back to where they belong..... in the cellar. =)

Gosh, the AL East is a beast. If the 5th place Red Sox win tonight, they'll have what would be the 2nd best record in the Central or West.

Pffft. Get your Canadian team out of the division already.

When will this dream end?

Next time they play the Rays

And he was called out..

Mr. Helton's neighborhood

No, he was totally out. Check out this pic:

There are bad calls and then there are BAD calls.

Buster Olney blasted the ump on twitter, and then 2 minutes later, he had to comment that the ump is "one of the best in the game". Why are we afraid to hurt people's feelings? He made an insanely bad call, why can't he just say that and be done.

The Cardinals have now scored 10 runs or more six times this season.

Those fans aren't booing. They're saying, "Albert who?"

Rays had another weird one tonight. Leading HR knocked over by the CF Michael Saunders. Surely there's a .gif or replay out there.

Afternoon game tomorrow to finish up the series. Go Rays!

Weaver's no-hitter should have an asterisk by it since he was pitching against a f*cking AA team. And, the fact that Pujols could only manage two hits against this pitching staff should be a big indicator that something is seriously wrong with him.

The Angels and Jays play a series now. The main storyline to me is: will either Bautista or Pujols start hitting, or will both big boys continue to suck balls?

That was half of my 'team slogan' for my fantasy team for awhile (the other was was "Bautista who?").
