Me too. I think you had to go into it expecting wonderful ridiculousness. I did, and it delivered.

Yeah, I totally reverted to my 12 year old self and was completely satisfied by the experience.

This describes my reaction as well.

I didn't revert. I'm still my 12 year old self! Rocket punches are awesome!

Very much this!

After watching "Jolly MrG", 12 year old me then clicked on the suggested 3rd trailer for TMNT.

Spoiler:

I actually didn't mind that either.

A new series to bridge the gap between the movies.

Apparently there's a Jaeger Pilot Oculus Rift thingy at Comic Con right now?!?!

Oh, they better make this available soon. Combine it with Stem system and it could really be something amazing.

I'd love to see more Gottleib and Newt!

You missed the most important part

Pacific Rim 2 hits theaters on April 7, 2017.

TWO AND A HALF YEARS! WAH

The cancellation of the cancellation of the apocalypse has been uncancelled!

Really, really looking forward to this. Pacific Rim is still my favorite movie, according to my gut. Del Toro is one of those directors who builds worlds so I'm happy to see a sequel where he can expand what he's created. Pac Rim looks like such a simple film but there's a lot more going on. My friend Jared Axelrod pointed out that structurally it's a romantic comedy, minus the love story, plus robot fights.

Robots punching giant monsters would significantly improve all romantic comedies!

Hear, hear!

I think that's why all the Japanese romcoms have them.

YAY!!!

Awesome, looking forward to it!

Unless the rest of the sentence is either "for immediate production of Hellboy 3", or "for immediate production of At the Mountains of Madness" I concur with the gif

This makes me very very sad.

The article I read made this sound like the result of a pissing contest because Del Toro wouldn't cut Crimson Peak to PG-13. The suits believe that a PG-13 version would make more money, thus greasing the wheels for Pacific Rim 2.

Once again, the MPAA screws up the movie business.

Well, I guess we can all vote with our wallets by going to see Crimson Peak. I think it looks awesome! I'll try and organize a viewing with some of my peeps.

I was already planning to catch Crimson Peak.
