Not enough time spent/wasted on movie rumor websites?

Anyway, giant robot movie, made by someone with some imagination and vision? Hellz Yes.

:46. That is GLADoS.

edit* Oh, and HELL YES!!!

Er seriously, GLADoS! But...why?

Absolutely 100% throughout the trailer, it's her. That kind of took me out. But then I saw Idris Elba, who is the motherf*ckin' MAN, so I might watch it, but it looks way too stupid. Del Toro gives me more hope though, we'll see.

He had me the moment I heard GLADoS. Idris Elba is just the icing on the cake.

It looks like a Micheal Bay movie, but with fun ideas, shots where I can actually tell what the f*ck is going on, and someone at the helm that isn't a total hack.

Sold.

Yah, I will go see that in the theaters. Looks awesome!

Checked out the trailer after it blew up my Twitter feed. Looks very promising.

Looks boring as f*ck!

Generic story, generic trailer... the only semi-interesting thing was the GLADoS voice, which just seems weird to me.

Not interested at all atm.

BIG O!!!!

EDIT:

Looks boring as f*ck!

trolololol

Approve!

My reactions to that trailer were "Dear lord, that looks awesome, please don't mess it up" and "I sure hope Valve doesn't sue them because that is a very recognizable GLaDOS".

Someone said on Twitter that Del Toro went to Valve to get that done. Could be true...

I didn't see him in any of the scenes in the trailer, but the credits say Ron Pearlman's in it too.

+1 for GlaDOS but minus several million for the Inception BWAAAM. Does every movie trailer have to use that now?

It's the same voice actor and as others have said popular rumor is he went through Valve to get her on the project.

Jeff Green posted a tweet about it and immediately had to see what he was talking. Holy Hell, I can't wait, and the fact that Glados was the voice of the system was pretty damn awesome.

So Glados opens a Portal to summon Cthulhu so Stringer Bell can pilot his Mazinger Z after getting his pilot suit put on him like Marines do in StarCraft 2? Ok.

If there's not a video game tie-in to this movie, somebody f*cked up big time.

It needs to control like RAD did on the PS2.

Why are people excited about the robot voice? It's not actually GLaDOS, right?

Edit: The character, I mean. I know the voice talent is the same.

wait...is this not just...Neon Genesis Evangelion...?

Yes, but without the whiny kids, paedophilia, and kabbalist subtext.

I, for one, cannot wait.

Because production has been paused on this multiple times. Even with a trailer i'll believe it when i'm sitting in a seat seeing it.

It had me at directed by Guillermo del Toro, who hasn't directed a film since Hellboy 2 in 2008. Mainly due to a number people messing him about, why didn't we get to have Mountains of Madness! Oh wait because studios are scared of 18 rated films these days so wanted him to kidify it. When someones worse film is Blade 2, there is reason to get exicted about this film.

Also GIANT ROBOTS

So, I'm pretty sad that they didn't pull out a giant energy blade. Every giant robot lover knows you can't actually beat the alien monsters until they pull out the energy blade. Must watch movie to see the energy blade....

Also, Guillermo premiered his last movie here in Austin @ the Drafthouse. Lets pray that happens again muahahaha.

While I'm a little dubious when the voice over has to explain the "rift to hell" back story, I'm excited. GIANT ROBOTS!

This also has Charlie Day in addition to Idris and GladOs.

I am officially psyched for this movie.

My favorite part of the trailer is near the end when the robot pulls back it's fist for a punch and it gets a rocket assist from the elbow. Oh man I love little things like that.
