Goozex. Anyone ever use it?

They look like a company local to this area and I was wondering what folks thought about it. I did some research and they look like they got bought earlier this year.

They are an online exchange for games and movies.

I signed up a couple of years ago, never had anyone want to take my games in all that time. I had no interest in spending my bucks to Goozex for a used game from some dude.

Given they have a 2 buck fee for a trade (albeit giving you shipping), and you gotta pay real bucks to make up any difference in your points, I still have had better luck buying and selling on Ebay, or among friends.

thanks.

I used it off and on a couple of years ago. It was OK and I had no problems at all with them. Granted, I was only asking for games that were a year or so old, so long waiting lists was never a problem for me.

Hopefully that's disbused you of the notion of using them. TL:DR version - it used to be a neat system, now it's not.

Market's ripe for a replacement, though. Shivgee.com?

Not a bad idea. Hmm. Let me ruminate on this.

Do you get to stab someone if they stiff you?

There were also a couple other threads here, and here.

And as people are saying it's done nothing but go downhill for a while now. Earlier this year they managed to stabilize at ~1200 concurrent trades, then down to 1000, now they're under 800.

Also, from everything I've read on the forums, they were supposed to be bought last year, and it never went through, the owners have been obligated to not make any changes, which has also axed attempts at fixing database errors, and the sale still hasn't gone through. I can't imagine why it's been allowed to languish so long.
