NFL 2012 Week 8 Thread

Shifting gears a bit, mostly cause I just saw it on Around The Horn... why the hell doesn't a 2-point conversion turnover that gets returned count for 2 points for the other team? Seems like a stupid rule for the NFL to adopt. Really lessens the risk of going for 2 for the offensive team. Carolina could have easily taken the lead yesterday, and maybe even won the game with that play.

I'm of the opinion that it should count for a TD, same as any other turnover. Same goes for PAT kicks.

You could have just linked to it.

Is that NSFW? I mean it was on prime time TV. :?

Some gratitude here!

Jaguars drop some passes on final drive to give a last little "screw you" to Gabbert's completion percentage. :(

On PFT today: Jaguars killing themselves with dropped passes.

9 passes dropped against Green Bay.

It was obviously a Cher (and Sonny) costume.

Redskins beat them with 10.

The Bucs just put Carl Nicks on IR for the year with a toe injury. Came out of the blue.

I would like to be shot in the back of the head now, please.

The Jaguars traded Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed mid-round draft pick (most likely a 5th).

How bad has Thomas been in 2012? According to Football Outsiders, the worst receiver in the league by their DVOA metrics.

Pro Football Focus disagrees. Their metrics rank him as only the second worst receiver in the league.

Maybe the change in scenery and in offense will do him good, but he certainly wasn't helping in Jacksonville.
