Pencon 2012

So, on my list of "eventy" things I'm curious who's interested in:

1: RPG stuff. Zenke already said he's down to run something. Anyone interested in Dread? http://dreadthegame.wordpress.com/ab... I'd like to run at least one session.

2: JSJoust. I will bring 4 move controllers. If you have one, label it and bring it. My proposal is to set this up outside somewhere on day 1, and on day 2 organize a team competition (yes, the new build of joust allows for team deathmatch). I need someone local to provide a boombox we can plug into (I'm guessing) Pyro's Mac.

3: Magic Draft? We did one here at Rabbitcon last time, to my surprise, and people had a blast doing it. 1 box gets you 12 players with a few packs left for a prize.

OK, this is way WAY too early to post things like this. Putting a pin in all these thoughts until like September.

I'm all for hearing ideas now. After we do registration, the next big thing we'll focus on is events. The staff will be planning out a rough schedule of events, so that people will know when/where things are going on while....still being able to participate in our team-based metagame, which will be returning from last year

Never too early =) If you have ideas for events, we're all ears.

Silly hat contestb!

The crazy thing is, there's simply too much gaming awesomeness to even try to fit it all into one weekend, and that's with computers and consoles mostly excluded.

The one thing I most want to do above all else is get in on some Artemis Ship Bridge action if that's happening.

I am totally interested in a Dread, I love to get my RPGs in when I can as locally my group isn't really intrested. I would also be up for a Magic Draft.

I am all up for playing Magic and RPG stuff. I have been DMing for a while so I have a ton of stuff for it.

All of the above I can pass on Artemis; got my fill during MinPenCon, but Dread/JS Joust/M:tG are all big yes!

Joust was on our agenda anyway. I'm thankful rabbit is going to take care of it.

Oh, and can someone acquire Nidhogg for us?

Gesh, haven't played MtG in ages. Love the game, but factors of money and lacking people to play with kinda pushed me away from it. Would love to get some games in though.

Hope someone nearer to the Castle has Dominion to bring. I have it and all the expansions except Alchemy, but that's a lot of weight to drag on a plane (I guess I could live without all the cards :p)

Ok, I'll go back to making silly suggestions now. :p

This all sounds good.

Rest assured, we'll have Dominion there =)

As long as it doesn't end like this.

Ok... then... what about Arkham Horror?

Should have at least 1 copy, yeah.

I would have to say yes to all the above. No one to play MtG with. My wife plays. Barely. Artemis an Joust are never gonna happen except situations like these. Same with the RPGS.

This is why I'm having a hard time figuring out what to narrow down to over the weekend; there just isn't much of a group around here for me to play any of this stuff with!

I will run an Arkham game again this year, but I'm going to limit it to four investigators. We can team up if more people want to play, but eight people playing eight investigators takes too long IMO.

I'm down with RPG stuff. Never learned to play magic, but if there's a newbie pool I'd learn.

You so krazy.

Big plus on the indie social/party game gets!

I will be playing my Dune set if there are 5 others interested in playing. I have been continuing to shape up the rules as I read and play more.

I recently bought Cyclades and Ora et Labora. I have 7 Wonders and expansion, Settlers of Catan with player expansion, and vanilla carcasone. I might buy more board games between now and then. I have been tempted to buy some carcasone expansions.

and yes I know I spelled most of those wrong.

Is the house rule still in effect for me?

Fedora is trying to talk me into this on IRC. My previous absences not withstanding, I will once again try to attend. I have four months to talk my wife into it.

(Now that we theoretically have roommates and theoretically have extra money each month theoretically it's much more doable, baby in December notwithstanding. :?)

We'll see what the other players say but I am game for you play Harkonnen once and blowing yourself and your team up so I can win.

baby?!!

Grats =)
(make sure there's just 1 in there)

And yeah, think maybe you actually make one of these for a change?

He knows he can't resist my charms.

I'm interested in MTG, Dread and any RPGs. I might finally run a Hollowpoint game. And I want to play Dune and Arkham Horror.

I'm hoping to have my game Derelict ready for play testing as well.

I am so excited to attend my very first PenCon. I've heard so many things about how awesome the experience is, and I am totes boning to stay in a castle with my adorbz friends. I also hear for an extra fee you can get a plushie Penguin with articulated beak.

It's also entirely possible that Hedgewizard has hijacked my account. Hmm.
