Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

Oh, Random thing I love, this cigar shop has wifi. I need to ask my tax accountant if the cigars I bought are tax deductible since I am working remotely from here. The same should go for coffee I hope.

The look on my niece's face as she watched Obi-Wan Kenobi die for the first time. Then again moments later as she heard his voice telling Luke to run.

Will we see some art in the painting/drawing thread?

For most of the artwork, she used (at least in part) her Wacom Intuos 3!
Her site is just about finished. Lots of good art, and I think it's a pretty transparent layout (mobile-friendly as well pan/zoom resize/etc.)

http://ramienunally.com

(Anyone kind enough to check it out; if you hit any hiccups/accessibility/weird site behavior, please let me know!)

Weird site behavior: There's nothing for sale

I didn't see anything actually wrong with the site, only that some pages seemed incomplete. I really like those landscapes though.

EDIT: Found one thing stylistically. For the H2 descriptions of certain items in the gallery, the descriptions end in a period for the digital caricature, all the other descriptions '24x36 acrillic on canvas' do not. If that's your intention, it's fine; just not what I would do.

I so want to be a robot. Like with six arms. And that barely moving bassist - is that like a comment on bassists or what?

That is, possibly, the coolest thing I have ever seen.

I just replaced another toilet today. And it took me less than an hour, despite a return trip to Home Depot for a longer supply line!

EDIT: 16,000th!

You replaced 16,000 toilets in your own home and you expected someone wouldn't comment on that? Are you ca-ra-zee?

Mozilla Thunderbird. Why have I not been using this before today?

When do they start touring? They're a front-(wo)man away from being able to rake in the $$$

Is Siri slated to be the vocalist?

Yeah, GLaDOS is busy with screen work.

Speaking of GLaDOS, I went to see the Hobbit last night and there was a preview for the movie "Pacific Rim" which in addition to being a complete Ultra Man/Power Rangers rip off, had the audacity to rip off GLaDOS's voice as well. No sign of Ellen McLain in the credits either. Lame.

Now, Live from Austin!

While the move was... well, it was interesting. And we got lost finding the hotel (For like, 3 hours. On a Saturday night. Downtown.)

That said, now that the horrendous move is over, I'm back to being quite excited.

I believe that's been a topic of discussion since the trailer was released a few weeks ago. Apparently Del Toro got permission from Valve.

Ahh, I feel a little better about it then.

Del Toro is a huge Portal fan, and wanted audiences to know it was Ellen's voice in the trailer. Supposedly, they'll have way less filters on her voice in the movie.

Woo! Well, sh*t, I should've given you my number in case you got lost. Glad you made it, though.

We've got a moving date. Jan. 14 is when all our sh*t is packed up and shipped to British Columbia. Goodbye Ontario. Goodbye LCBO.

I am both happy for your new opportunity and move, and also happy you are moving farther from me, thus ensuring my survival for that much longer.

Damn, couldn't find a reason to make a trip to our Sudbury office to meet the legend before you ship out west. Now I gotta' convince the board to open a BluMetric Environmental branch out there.

Pfft. This is the age of the Internet, Amazon and Craigslist. I'm sure if I put all those components into a box, shook 'em all up and dumped it, a beanie-wearing Jason Statham would fall out.

Yup. I'm heading to the Rockies where I will take up the eternal sport of Crazy Mountain Man. From my perch I will fling out monkey poop and nuggets of wisdom. Then do some online reporting or something. I get those two activities confused. They're kind of the same thing really.

Oh man, yer gonna be 5 hours due north. I should probably get a better deadbolt for the door.
