Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

They're zany to the max, or so I hear.

I was just having a discussion with a friend the other day of the merits of Animaniacs and Freakazoid! Those really need to get put on Netflix instant so I can watch them all again!

At the moment, I am pleased with Newegg. My favorite keyboard, the Microsoft Natural 4000, went up for sale a few weeks back, and then they had a $10 coupon on top of it, getting me one for $20, which is a real steal.

Then it arrived with a bum spacebar. So, I requested an RMA# and expected, like I get from Amazon, a prepaid shipping label. Instead, I get a box that says, "buy your return shipping here!" I'm initially miffed, but that turns quickly to outrage when the shipping total comes up to nearly $16. It's a keyboard, it's big, but seriously, I'm not saving jack if I'm paying that much for return shipping.

So, I get into a chat with Newegg support, and instantly she just issues a prepaid return label, like I wanted in the first place. So, I'm pleased. I suppose "love" is a bit strong, because really, they should've done this in the first place, but I'm happy that they didn't even blink in issuing a prepaid label.

It's only a goddamn Theramin!

OOOOoooooOOOOOOOOoooooOOOooooOOOOoo

That will be me for the rest of the day!

So cool. I expect video or audio evidence once you've learned how to play it.

newegg stuff

It's kind of the velvet rope of newegg. They'll do that every time, you just need to know to ask for it.

You people are trying to kill me, aren't you?

Jonman, I'm going to have to respectfully demand that you send the Theremin into my keeping until you learn how to spell the instrument's name.

FROM YOU, ALRIGHT. I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU.

I would like to request a video of Jonman (preferably a drunk Jonman) playing the therömin.

Edit: better?

I WILL CUT YOU

Jonman taking requests yet?

I'd like The X-Files theme first, then Dr Who.

I'm so pleased I'm not the resident pedant anymore.

We were at Meijer (Target for people in Michigan and Ohio) and I found out Topps is making these again.

My wife rolled her eyes and looked disgusted. I looked as if I had just won the lottery. Methinks our childhood experiences were different with these gems.

They have a ton of those at the comic book shop.

OMG

!

EDIT: Nevermind. Misread.

Nice! What brand?

Theramaniacs? At least, that's who's on the return label.

It's still in the box. My birthday's not for 2 days and I've yet to receive express permission to open it. Them's the rules in my house.

Theremaniacs, maniacs, on the floor. And they're dancing like they've never danced before.

Will do as soon as I receive everything you've ever misspelled in the mail.

*secretly hoping Min has misspelled 'beer' at some point in his life*

Minarchist once misspelled my name. I'll be there soon.

Awesome. I'll throw some fresh straw down in the servant's shed for you. You might want to brush up on your offal cooking skills on the way. Best to turn up prepared, right?

I paid my final AT&T bill today. With the early termination fee and the phone bill, it was $325 and I get to keep the Lumia 900 which I will sell once WP 7.8 becomes available. Since I already paid for my Skype phone number and premium membership for a year (@ $10 per month total), I don't have any phone related bills for the rest of the year. Before, I was paying $95 a month. I may buy the cheapest tracphone possible for emergencies, but I probably won't even bother since I live in a city.

Hurray!

Woohoo! Wife is making me birthday dinner tonight! Tear-jerkingly good beef stew. Can't wait!

Look, we butchered a lamb already. I'm just trying to up the ante here.

P.S. There's a picture of Clocky on the front page. She's trim. Lean meat, very healthy. Just sayin'.

Looks gamey. I like that.
