Don't tell Bieber fans.

I think it's fairly safe to say that the union between the set of "Biebs" and the set of people who read this thread would require an electron microscope to see. I think we're safe.

Are they like French letters except they get you high?

Heh. The reaction in this house is more like this. We order them from a closer bakery, although we are going to drive more than 100 miles to get them. (But it's part of our yearly go to the mountains to escape post-Thanksgiving insanity plan.)

Governor Christie on SNL. Kinda nice to know that the East Coast can look back and laugh so soon.

I can't help reading every link in Norm Macdonald's Bob Dole voice.

Michaels Stores Inc.

Lots of crafty goodness there today with a 30% off coupon that I got through their iPhone app. No paper coupon to remember, I saved over $20, and I have enough stuff to finish projects for the Goodjer craft exchange. Yay!

A Thanksgiving tradition: "Oh, the humanity!"

Canada Post tracking indicates that my Wii U Deluxe left Canada earlier this afternoon, which means I'll likely see it arrive Friday or Saturday. Not bad for a non-preorder eBay purchase that I didn't pay too much of an inflated price for, and in my condition, way easier than checking with Chicago area retailers for physical stock. Between this and Thanksgiving with friends tomorrow, this week is going to be among the best I've had in 2012.

The texture of scallions/green onions/spring onions (delete as appropriate for locality).

Notably, how crispy and striated (?) they continue to be when you find a bit that's been hiding between your teeth for a couple of hours after eating something delicious.

I will second the awesomeness of Desert Bus for Hope, and Loading Ready Run in general.

Last night our team of 10 crushed it in pub trivia, getting the highest score we've ever gotten. Granted, the questions were easier than normal and there weren't as many teams because of the holiday. But whatever! We killed!

I've dodged the uselessness of my degree after all -- starting in January, I'll be back in academia. Plus, the job is likely to last through the next school year at least.

Since I've been staying with family and most of my possessions (including my gaming computer) have been in storage since August, I feel like I'm getting my life back.
