Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

Now I will forever associate your name with good beer. But Hercule is better.

No, mon ami, Hercule is the best.

You can't drink me! Noooooooo!

Tarragon - I don't know how I overlooked you so for so long, but welcome to the front of my spice rack.

Brooklyn Lager.

Really? Seriously? Tarragon? I mean, I feel that way about cumin, but tarragon?

I have a jar of the stuff but I've only used it three or four times since purchase. What kind of dishes are you using it in? I'm intrigued.

Mostly chicken dishes I'd imagine

Makes for a great roast chicken or chicken salad. with the roast, add some thyme as well and you're flavoring parts are done.

I've been experimenting mostly with chicken and light flavored fish.

The aroma this stuff makes when added with a bit of dry white wine or broth to a sauteed onion is amazing.

I believe that if ever I had to practice cannibalism, I might manage if there were enough tarragon around.

While my daughter technically does have a thread from when she spawned, kicking and screaming into this world, this is not quite new thread worthy.

Anyway, here's the deal. My wife and I are sitting at my desk, her on a laptop, me on the big PC. She's got my little girl, and I'm in the kitchen getting a piece of pie. I come back with it, and Kaitlyn wiggles herself on my arm, and looks up at me with the cutest little smile. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, my 3 month old precocious little girl makes a grab for my pie! Her valiant attempt was immediately foiled, much to her chagrin. She vociferously voiced her disagreement with the situation, then cried when the pie was consumed. Quite hilarious, if you ask me

You're one cruel SOB. Did you have to rub it in her face by eating it right in front of her?

Right now I love Bourbon Eggnog. Possibly too much.

Heh, it would have been funnier if he DID rub it in her face, not even figuratively.

I got 2 kids of my own and I think that would be funny as hell.

Awesome AnimeJ.
Wait until you're old and decrepit and she teases you with pie.

I prefer my own concoction: The Golden Russian (a/k/a Eggnog Russian). Basically, a White Russian, but eggnog in lieu of milk.

I don't see the issue. Kids these days gotta learn that their parents love them and would do anything to make them happy. Except give them their pie. Don't touch their pie.

Hey, I'd already shared Thanksgiving bounty with her in the form of delicious mashed sweet potatoes.

Oh, that day is coming. Although it will probably occur with a lesser pie. Like a store bought cherry.

The man knows his pie.

Tim Hortons Double Double. It's like liquid velvet.

Did I hear double-double? I think it's time for a Tim Horton's run right now.

I am indeed a man about pie. And while pie is certainly deserving of its own thread, I will post here:

Chocolate Pecan Pie. Nuff said.

Coconut Cream Pie. Mmmmm

This isn't something I love, but it is kinda random.

In case you didn't know, I'm a grad film/audio student. Every now and then....I'm tempted to make a documentary on this website.

If you make it, they will come.

No GWJ documentary would be complete without the entire Kitty Cat Dance inserted somewhere in the middle.

muttonchop makes an outstanding point. But it would have to be completely unexpected. And occur repeatedly. Then, near the end, you'd have to say next, something that's not the kitty cat dance. But then the credits would roll over top of the kitty cat dance.

I give you the best snack mix ever conceived of: Beer Nuts Bar Mix.

Work. I love what I do, and I just taught someone to walk again.

This is Kiri, btw. Just noticed, I didn't log Ro out.

Smithwick's Irish Ale, my current favorite beer. Very nice ale, not too dark with a bit of a nutty flavour. Perfect for an evening at the pub.

Also, one of the Irish pubs around here has recently started serving Framboise on tap, a lambic style beer fermented using raspberries. It's sweet and delicious and perfect when I'm not in the mood for something darker. Not something I could drink more than a couple glasses of, but very nice nonetheless.
