Supernatural - All of It! - Catch All

Been catching up with the latest season and holy hell, this show is on fire! So good!

I know, right?! Once they found their new voice after Kripke stepped down at the end of season 5, the show has been excellent.

I only liked one episode of the new season so far. The rest were ok to horrible. The main storyline is interesting but they haven't played around with it for awhile.

Groundhog Day episode!

Yes, I'm in season 3.

Up to episode 8 of season 8 and I'm not feeling it. The bigger story is interesting, but the interpersonal story has way too much emo and a groundhog day aspect to it too. Yeah, Dean vanished and Sam quit, again, cry me a fricking river.

Heeeaat of the moment!

You love this song and you know it.

I also love when they talk at the same time. This scene ALWAYS kills me:

I love Greek myths.

That one was a lot of fun. I've been enjoying most of this season quite a bit.

Okay, I really hate this meme but that was pretty awesome.

Highlights include the return of the suicidal teddy bear, and Jensen Ackles apparently pitching the idea to the producers with a slideshow including other examples of the meme.

I'd nearly forgotten about the suicidal teddy bear that "smells like the bus". Awesome I think I need to re-watch that episode. And the Groundhog Day one.

I DUNNO WHAT THIS IS BUT I LOVE IT

Season 8 is sad =(

Good news, folks!

Honestly I'm not really sure that is good news. This show is getting long in the tooth.

They could find a way out. They got really bogged down in the angels-demons story, with little in way of progress. Once they move on past that I think it will look up. But I totally agree with your assessment of current state.

Season 9 should be about how they've been doing this for too long. They've dealt with more than any other hunters so, make it about them burning out and either quitting or setting up shop somewhere and being Bobby to another generation of hunters. If the entire season was about that, I'd be more excited.

Emphatically agree!

I quit watching with any regularity years ago because of the angels and demon angle that the show went down.

If they would just stick with the "Monster O' the Week" format, then I would be a much happier camper.

Is everyone all caught up? That last ep with Charlie was fan-freaking-tastic.

I'm about 100 hours behind where you are.

Which is...where, season 3? 4?

I'm caught up. Yes, that was great.

Spoiler:

It makes me hope that they start recruiting people of letters for future seasons.

I know! It's still a terrific show to me.

Rough estimate of 100 hours means, oh, season 6. j/k

It's incredible the amount of this show they've filmed.

You don't understand, I need pie.

I'm watching the most recent episode. I can't believe how good this show still is. In same ways it is better than ever. I love the secret lair and the dungeon. That also gives them a great chance to do stand-alone episodes instead of focusing on the over-arching plot.

Just got to that part.
