Supernatural - Salt and Burn All

I am happily watching season 12 on Netflix. Really happy they stepped back from apocalypse seasons.

Yeah, catching up on S12 now, it's really taken a strong turn. Excited to see where it goes.

Somehow the series managed to completely reinvigorate and redeem itself post-Leviathan era. And, yes, the latest episode introduces what could be an awesome character to the Jodi spinoff.

I'm almost convinced of resuming this series. I don't even remember when I left it. Season 8, maybe?

You really should. It just stays so consistently entertaining, and even still has high notes. My favorite episode is now in season 11, which is told entirely from the point of view of the Impala.

Even at its worst this show remains entertaining and full of delight. Watching it is really a no brainer if you have the time.

Yeah, but you get tired of yelling at the TV for Sam and Dean to just talk things out.

It just became the same ol' Dean and Sam get angry with each other, they make out, they get angry again, they make out again, they... You get the gist.

It's a CW show, you gotta just accept that's gonna happen now and again and move on.

Actually starting with season 11 they do start to talk things out. I remember a pretty cool moment in season 12 that never would have happened years ago.

Spoiler:

After Mary joins the Men of Letters behind Sam and Dean's backs, she buys them a case of beer and spills the beans. They have a heated debate on the pros and cons of working with the MoL.

The same also happens later in the season when Sam confesses to Dean that he's working with them and uses a logical argument to convince Dean to also join.

Well said, Djinn, I was trying to think of how to say that but you said it better than I. They've definitely been handling angst WAY better than before. Thank GOD. These guys have grown. Somewhat at least.

Alright, went to check where I left this series off.
Tried to read the episodes summaries between season 8 and 10 and I have no idea. Either I'm old and I forgot or I was completely done with the show when I abandoned it.

At least, I'm sure I saw the Bloodlines pilot from season 9, so season 10 should be my best bet.

Man, that last episode was great, especially with Sam's moment in the shrink's office. Wow, some amazing acting work by Padalecki right there. Totally teared up.

Jared's acting amazing? Now I really got to see this!

Jared actually really brings a ton of emotional weight when he wants to.

I have soooo many questions about "The Big Empty."

I hope they'll be answered! Unless they're for us.

There are people here who clearly aren't caught up, so I dunno; I guess they will remain unasked for now, but I am guessing we haven't seen the last of it?

Ask in a spoiler tag.

Oh man, I can't wait until Thursday.

OH SNAP that's THURSDAY>>>??!?

Color me excited. Somehow this show bounced back from the weak=ass tar guy season to remain incredibly entertaining, compelling and ENTERTAINING for this many seasons.

That's awesome.

I can't f*cking wait.

holy sh*t.

So you guys, Scoobynatural was so great. SO GREAT. It's amazing that this show, 13 years in, can pull something like that off.

You take that back.

We are keeping this one on the DVR, it was so good. It hit every note in a love letter to an animation institution.
