Just got Mount and Blade: Warband. Any mods to make it better/prettier/more playable in 2019?
YO I THOUGHT THE THREAD BUMP MEANT THERE WAS NEWS THIS GAME WAS FINALLY COMING OUT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
And then YOU perpetuate the cycle hypocrite!
You fools it's never coming out.

When it comes out it will have cutting edge graphics and be bug free.
We have Kenshi?
Oh my goodness. Progress!
Wait, this game isn't just vaporware to continually trample on my hopes and dreams?
I'm mostly worried that eventually Turkey will close down its borders, and the game WILL disappear before release!
I have around 600 hours of gameplay in Mount&Blade warband, and its breaking my heart every time I read Bannerlord updates, with no release in sight!
I couldn't find anything about how to join the closed beta. Did I miss it or has it not been released?
If I play it for the first time should I play it modded or vanilla?
The above video certainly is Warband with a fresh coat of paint, but unless the Dev Diaries are misleading, the game itself certainly isn´t. Just wanted to point that out.

What’s the big difference?
I direct you to their developer blogs so you can see for yourself.
Besides the graphical upgrades though, two of the major ones are how skills work, and that you get offspring, and when you die, you take over playing them, and the inherited skills - Family dynasty in effect.
Skills are more like games like Morrowind, where you get better at something by doing it. There are still some skill points as well of course.
There seems to be some really interesting society heirachies as well, which determines who leads battles.
But try checking out the dev blogs for more information!

The original M&B killed my interest in Total War games. The sequel might do the same to me for Crusader Kings 2.
Early access to start in March 2020
Yeah - I'm very very excited about this - But man...March 2020? That's a long time away for an early access title that has been in development for what..7 years so far?
Looks like it'll be worth the wait though.
