Well, horny, anyway.

No horns, though. Ah, well.

Maybe I could set all the voice commands to be swedish and she'd think I was using Rosetta Stone or something.

So apprently there's been some developer blog and they released a video. Just watched and now it makes why it's taking so long. That a really powerful looking mod tool. Makes me think of skyrim almost.

I've been playing a ton of Warband recently so I've been thinking about what I'd like to see in a sequel. The list of stuff ranges from probably unrealistic to stupid but I wanted to share anyway.

- Yelling. I want faction specific yelling and for your character to vocalize more. For example, when you select "Archers" or "Charge!" from the tactics menu, I want to hear my player yell it out. And I want the archers to respond in turn with some kind of acknowledgement. Maybe even some unnecessary verbal commands you could issue like Counterstrike. Be something small but cool.

- A random mode where it randomizes the world map, starting locations, AI tendencies and anything else that makes sense. Sort of like a 4X where every time you play it's a new game.

- Robust customization. If you start your own kingdom, I'd like it if the game let you customize how your troops look or even allowed you to design the tech tree. Also, customized Castles would be sweet.

- An ambient audio layer. Birds, crickets, the sounds of a village etc.

- The nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor somehow grafted onto it.

- An assassinations mission that only appears super late game. You would have to spend a ton of money training assassins and the actual mission would only be 5 v 5 but everyone involved would be really high level (since a king/lord would have the best troops guarding them) making it intense.

- An RTS view to issue commands.

I don't know if its mod specific, but I play Prophecy of Pendor a LOT, and it has some it - When you select a group, like Archers, you hear a yell "Archers!", and so on.

As for customization, you can make your own knighthood, detailing weapons, armor, mounts, looks, and coat of arms of course. There is "some" ambience, but not enough, I agree. You will get attacked by assassins, so not quite the same though

Ooooo, I 'll have to try that mod out. I'm pretty new to the series so I'm in the middle of Gekokujo right now. So many quality mods!

That's been my go to mod for hundreds of hours. The individual knighthood is pretty ridiculous, you can train them to insane stats. I like being ruler of Sarleon lands the most, you get to fight everyone constantly.

I've been playing around with L'Aigle and the Silverstag mod lately. Might dip into PoP at some point.

You set yourself up as the Sarleon king? I always try to become king of a unified Pendor, using mostly pendor troops alongside with a few select knighthoods. So much fun!

I fired up the 1866 mod for the original M&B and picked up a Colt 1847 Walker. Talk about a hand-held artillery piece.

Yes currently a sarleon culture, although I became pendor king before. I find the two pretty similar, they have cheap units you can fortify keeps for cheap.

The other reason to take sarleon lands first in your conquest is you can force the king to give you his lance, which is the best in the game. If they have something like 3 or less keeps in their kingdom and your imprison then, you can ask for a ransom of their weapon. The other kings have good weapons too but I like lance for cavalry fights

Important question is, will it finally be CoOp? If any game begged for a good CoOp mode, MnB series has.

Somewhat lame blog update:

Well, this certainly looks interesting!

Shut up and take my hours!

Good to see M&B 2 is shaping up well. Everything is 1000% less janky -- which makes the game so much more satisfying to look at. The first game was the best "Guy-on-Horse beheads another Guy-with-an-axe" Simulator out there. And better animations will add to my beheading satisfaction.

I wonder if you will be able to have board game mods.

I'd rather they skipped the board game. I don't load up M&B to play board games with people. I load it up to cut people in half.

Aside from that, it looks awesome.

http://www.pcgamer.com/mount-blade-2-bannerlord-will-support-multiple-mods-at-once/

"We'll be supporting multiple mods together," says Yavuz, "so players will be able to cherry pick the mods that they want, and they'll be able to use them altogether to exactly customise the experience that they want.

"If, for example, one changes the user interface and another edits some items and another is some political thing, players will be able to combine those and play their dream game."

Lots of info in their blog post too:

I play to shoot people in the face!

I play to shout "HUSCARLS! SHIELD WALL!" into my mic.

BRB, gotta go play some M&B

You have my lance...

Lances were best, at least in Vanilla M&B (they weren't nearly as good in Warband, probably because they'd have ruined multiplayer balance).

I never played multiplayer, but oh boy did I love skewering some AI with that thing.

The angle, the timing... it reminded me of when I was young and good at pool.

For me, getting a lance usually marked the end of the "struggling to survive" phase and the beginning of my rise to power.

...not least because lances and bows were the only weapons I ever got any good at using from horseback.
