Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around. Things got a bit crazy at work lately, plus I've been taking a little break from fighting games after some particularly salty sessions.

A word about the upcoming SF x Tekken month. Capcom seriously screwed things with the glitch fix patch:
I'm not sure yet if I'm just going to postpone SF x Tekken until they fix the Rolento knife freeze, or if Rolento will just be banned if it isn't fixed in time, but it will be one of those two.
I'm in favor of banning gems for fight nights. Not due to the DLC controversy but rather the random elements they introduce.

Gems are a separate consideration, and I'm in favor of banning them too. Rolento is actually broken right now, and Capcom hasn't even responded yet to the fact that he causes the game to freeze. I'm not hopeful that they'll have a fix for it before next month, so right now I'm leaning towards swapping Soul Calibur 5 and SF x Tekken.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem as though I didn't watch the video. The Juri and Rufus dive kick changes are a bummer. Although, if something can't be countered on block with SRK then it is OP (joke). Have any other Capcom games needed so much balancing in this generation?
Hmm, I suppose it depends on your take on things. No other Capcom game has had as many easy to encounter bugs, but vanilla Marvel 3 was horribly unbalanced, and it didn't get any patches to fix those issues (instead getting Ultimate). Ultimate Marvel 3 does have some camera bugs you can trigger, but they're not easy to do.

Street Fighter X Tekken has been pushed to July to give time for Capcom to put out a fix to the Raven projectile freeze. They said this would be out in June.
I will not be around on Wednesday as it is my wife's birthday. I may be able to do Thursday, though.

I'm a bit surprised at the low turnout for SF4 month. I figured more folks would show given our past with the game, but now I realize most of us have probably moved on. I know for my part the game didn't hold me like it used to, I find myself more interested in the newer games (SC5, Mortal Kombat, SF x Tekken) where there are things to learn that don't simply involve repetition in training mode.
It sounds like few folks are available tonight. Let's just cancel tonight, and make Saturday the final day of SF4.
I was online for a couple hours but didn't see anyone else around. I'm traveling next week so I won't be able to make the regular days.
My xbox account has apparently been compromised somehow, so I'm out of commission for the next week or so. Nothing terrible, but they've locked my account until things get sorted.
Unfortunately, between work, travel, and Diablo, I simply haven't had much time this past month for fight nights. 
Soul Calibur 5 starts tonight! I'll be on in about 15 or 20 minutes.
I guess no SC tonight. I'll try again on Saturday.
Looking forward to participating in these once EVO is done! Then I'll be able to spend the time to branch out to other games. Can't wait!
Sorry guys, I've been slacking the past week, mostly thanks to Diablo 3 (the grasp of that game is far more powerful than I possibly imagined). Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled events, Soul Calibur 5 tomorrow night at 7PM PST.
Make sure you've downloaded all the compatibility packs (sadly you have to do this manually), just to avoid conflicts in case anybody has bought DLC costumes.
Also, those of you with +3 to Perception may have noticed I stealth edited the OP and updated the months. If your bonus is +5, you may also notice the appearance of Persona 4 Arena as the game for August. It comes out August 7th, and I know that a number of us (myself included) are very excited about it, so I'm pushing Mortal Kombat back to September and we can all flail about in P4A for the month of August.
If anybody was really looking forward to Mortal Kombat, please say so, I'm sure we can make everybody happy.
