Persona 4 Golden Catch-All

Looking forward to delivery of my US copy tomorrow

What time do games usually show up on PSN? This is my first digital midnight release of a PS game.

The store is usually updated by 6pm EST. Not a midnight release by any means.

Best part about tomorrow? Shoji Meguro.

BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY

I'm am only made sad by the knowledge that the game won't have the incredible Chie arrange theme from P4 Arena:

PERSONA 4 Golden Solid Gold Premium Edition shipped! Woooohooooooooooo!

Now I wait.

:*(

I called my Gamestop today to see if they received all premium editions to fill their preorders. They had one preorder (mine) and one copy of the premium edition. I wasn't going to get there when they opened if they got enough copies of the game, but knowing they only have one copy worries me. I'll be there at opening time.

In ma hand. No work until Monday and even then I'm traveling for two weeks. Good timing, Atlus.

Starting tomorrow I have a 5 day weekend. Well played, Atlus. What is the time it goes up on PSN? 6 PM EST?

One can always hope. They're never consistent.

Also, Aram misspoke when he said there was an install for the physical version. There is an install, not much of one, but the interviewer was asking if you had to install the whole game to get the quick load times. You don't.

My pre order was at gamestop but not the skin.

The game is still pretty sweet. There have been at least two changes in the beginning so looking forward to replaying it.

Gah. So do I go download like I have for almost every other Vita game I own.. and not play tonight due to download times..

Or do I go buy a physical copy and play tonight? What are you guys doing/think?

Stand strong and wait! I am. Do you have a bad internet connection? All Vita games have downloaded pretty quickly for me because they are only around 2-3 GB.

I'm going digital. Just waiting for the PSN store to update; I'll be finishing up my 3rd playthrough of P3P during the download

I'm usually paranoid that if I play anything the download will pause.

I actually haven't tested that with a PSP game. I know many of the Vita games disable the network features, likely to conserve battery life.

I tested it last night; dunno if it's a new feature of 2.0, but the super monkey ball demo downloaded while I was playing p3p, no problem. It just paused the installation until after I'd quit.

Yeah, I just tested it. It works.

Up on PSN now - you'll have to search for it; it's not appearing on the storefront yet.

Well I'm too impatient. I'll be buying a physical copy - for that sweet box art!

Ba-dum-tsh!

Yeah, but if you're downloading something it won't disable the wifi until after it finishes downloading.

I don't know how the Vita handles background downloads and playing a game with a mp component.

But if you're scared you can always back out of the game with the PS3 button and check to see if anything has been downloading.

I forgot that they do that. Sweet! I'm sad to see that it doesn't get $5 off like the PSN versions often do. Ah well. Downloading now. My slow work internet is saying it will take about 85 minutes to download.

I didn't notice that! Very cool.

I may have wasted money but I picked up my premiuim edition along with a regular copy. I don't plan on opening the premium edition, put it up on ebay one day. It has already sold for $180, not sure if I should wait or put it up there now. I already regret getting a 2nd physical copy simply because I had to open the card slot and put it in (Not sure if that's crazy or not). But since this is going to be a 70+ hour game I guess it wont be a deal.

Game is very pretty.

I'll join you all in enjoying this on Monday. My copy is waiting for me, but I won't be going in to the office until then. Not like there aren't a ton of other things to play. This weekend will be All-Stars instead!

I'm not saying I just watched the opening song like four times in a row.

Okay yes I'm saying exactly that.

I was going to go digital until one of my coworkers handed me a copy today I love working with (generous) gamers!

I'm wrapping up my chores, then I plan to find a quiet spot and spend some with the game. Even before getting into the game itself, it's obvious to me that the P4 team put an impressive amount of work into making this a signature experience for Vita owners.

You may enjoy the first TV episode then.
