I had the beer and cheddar soup made with the dogfish head IPA, and my mother raved about the chilli she had. Both were excellent, especially with those bread rolls.

If none of you had the Jack of Clubs, you missed out.

Awesome Bullion. I'll let Linda know you enjoyed them, it will make her day. The beer and cheddar is my personal favorite as well, love that stuff. Haven't tried it with the Dogfish Head yet though, the last batch I had was with Stone Pale Ale. I'm looking forward to trying a batch with a stout too.

Sad news Bill. We shut down the Tea Room for the season, and we're probably not going to be re-opening it. So the Jack of Clubs may be gone for good. I suppose we could bring it back as part of the Raven's Roost menu, I'll have to check into that.

I just got really hungry.

No.

The castle is dead to me.

How much moniez will it take to make this happen? I am willing to give all of the moniez.

Tell ya what Bill. Give me 24 hours notice before you visit and I'll make sure they have a Jack of Clubs available, just for you

A little bummed to learn that you won't be re-opening the tea room. My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful lunch there.

We're still deciding exactly what to do with the Tea Room. Sadly, it never drew enough traffic to justify staffing it. We're considering using the Tea Room as a rentable party room, and just having all food service go through the Raven's Roost.

We've started offering a decent selection of food there to cover lunches as well as mid-week dinners, something we couldn't do previously as our dinners are all catered in.

Understandable. The one girl that worked the Tea Room was quite awesome to us, hopefully she'll find other duties.

I am regretting that we missed these wonderful soups that you're describing. We'll definitely have to partake the next time we stay at Ravenswood.

The fam and I just took a driving trip to Chicago suburbs and made Ravenwood Castle our layover stop there and back. We had a fantastic time, even the non-gamers in the family. The rooms were spacious, the food was excellent, the wine and cider selections were surprisingly good, and the board games never stopped =). Monocheli you were an awesome host and we all had a lot of fun hanging out with you and your family. Next time we'll have to remember to take more photos.

Congrats on what you guys have accomplished so far, and best wishes to you all in the future. We'll try to make it out to stay again in August. Cheers!!

It is easy to be a good host to good guests Thank you for letting me try out the new Star Wars card game on you. It was also fun tat when your wife was playing I managed to talk Amanda in to playing King of Tokyo with us.

I will never let you go hungry! Like Teneman said let me know you are coming (as if you could come to the castle with out me knowing) and I'll get what I need to make you a Jack of Clubs. That being said the menu we are making up for Raven's Roost has been well received by everyone that has eaten it so you might want to try something different.

I have no idea what the Jack of Clubs is, but I miss it.

His name was Jack of Clubs.

Dude, I've never been there, I don't especially like soup, and even *I'M* dying to know what a Jack of Clubs is!

The first rule of Jack of Clubs is...

Mmm, I do love me some club sandwich.

This is a long shot, but what the heck.

MonoCheli needs a new servant Assistant Innkeeper. This is a salaried position, but does not include living arrangements in the castle. This position is long term, and will be a part of the management team for the castle. Hospitality experience would be great, but isn't strictly necessary.

What we're looking for is: the ability to work hard, the willingness to learn a variety of tasks, ability to work well within a small team.

Potential tasks on any given day could include: office work, event planning, housekeeping, marketing, light cooking, bartending, teaching and/or playing games with guests (yes, that's actually one of the jobs!). Would require overnight innsitting on occasion.

If you or someone you know is interested, PM me here, or email me at jobs at ravenwoodcastle.com.

Sounds like an awesome opportunity for somebody!

And yet, we keep getting boulder.

Stop it now ore else.

Don't listen to Quintin. I appreciate the sediment.

I would 100% be interested in working at the castle, but my fiancee has soundly vetoed the idea of moving to Ohio. The job search continues...

We live in New Hampshire. She hates sales and income tax.

Live free or die!

So Teneman, with the new position you can't live at the castle, granted, but does it come with all the boardgaming and beer that you can consume?
