I suggest "Looking for Group" for the first one, and something along the lines of "The Ravenwood Instance" for the second.

As long as Teneman doesn't object to video game/MMO-related names, I think Looking for Group is an excellent choice for the first package. Similarly, The Ravenwood Instance also makes a lot of sense for the group package, but I would toss out the idea of maybe something like Ravenwood Raid. Not only do both words have the "ray" syllable, but I like Raid as in your gaming group is "raiding" and taking over the Ravenwood game room.

Are you targeting core gamers with these, or non-core gamers? I only ask because a lot of the ideas I involve terms that non-gamers won't get. You might want to go with something simpler like Castles, Games, and Grog or Dice Rolling at Ravenwood.

Both. I anticipate the group getaway will appeal more to core gamers, who are more likely to have an existing gaming group. The all inclusive package is likely to appeal more to non-core gamers who may have drifted from their group over the years, or who are just interested in trying it out.

You may run the risk of gathering the Craigslist Casual Encounters crowd with either of those names. :O

Dungeons & Flagons

Edit - Kind of surprised it wasn't already suggested, I mean you're roleplaying, in a pub, in a castle.

Oh that's good.

Not that many of the others aren't, but I just happened to check this and I really need a chuckle, and this hit the spot perfectly.

Not sure we'll use it as the name of the getaways, but it's definitely going on something!

+1

Dragons and Flagons.

A Dance of Flagons
Natural 20 on Adventure Roll
Dungeon Master's Getaway

+1 Dungeons & Flagons
+1 Dragons & Flagons

Somewhere above the lintel it reads ,"So, you meet in a bar..."

Dragons & Flagons sounds great for the individual thing.

For the group thing what about calling it "The Dungeon Crawl" package.

Last night, my sister called to inform me that her second youngest has carefully put up paperplates all over the walls of his room, each with a number counting down until we leave on October 2 for our trip to Ravenwood. Each night, he pulls one down. He's ridiculously excited.

We need pictures.

Here are a few quick ideas.

Gaming Getaway: Just a Dice Roll Away, The Ravencrawl, The Ravenwood Descent,
Gaming Group Getaway: (haven't thought of anything yet)

Yeah, Dungeons & Flagons does seem like a good choice for the second. Maybe could be done like this

D & D & F

How long will ya'll be there for? My wife and I are hitting the castle on October 4th.

It's that time of day:

The Bed & Barghest Special
Breakfast on the Borderlands
Swords & Scones

We're leaving the 4th, unfortunately.

Kudos, and thanks, to momgamer and MeatMan. So far it looks like our Gaming Getaway packages are going to be Ravenwood LFG and Ravenwood Raid. If those titles get past the Queen of the Castle, I'll be launching them along with our new gaming page on the website.

I'm definitely using Dungeons and Flagons and/or Dragons and Flagons on something as well. I'm just not sure what yet. Perhaps on a sign over the Library Game Room, perhaps in marketing materials. But it will be used somewhere!

Huzzah! I helped!

I think you should give a free drink to anyone who can recite: "The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true."

He can probably get away with Dungeons and Flagons, because it's pretty obviously parody. But if he actually says Dungeons and Dragons and Flagons, I think WOTC could make his life fairly miserable.

Danny Kaye FTW.

I am pleased to officially announce the introduction of Ravenwood Castle's Gaming Getaways!*

These getaways are not exactly news to you guys, since you pretty much helped us design and name them throughout this thread. But what is news, and good news at that, is that we have the date for the inaugural event...

I present to you Ravenwood LFG - Zenke Edition! This special Ravenwood Looking For Group event will be held on February 1st and 2nd, 2013, and presided over by our very own Michael Zenke!

The agenda will look something like this:

Friday evening - board gaming with Zenke and MonoCheli
Saturday - a four hour game session with Zenke
Saturday evening - Medieval style dinner, featuring Zenke giant turkey legs
Sunday - full group gaming, likely Werewolf or something similar, moderated by (can you guess?)

As with all Ravenwood LFGs, this event will require a ticket in addition to your regular room rental. For $75, you receive exclusive use of the newly redesigned Library Game Room, at least one four hour gaming session (side sessions will also be available), Saturday evening dinner, a commemorative Ravenwood Castle dice set, and your very own Zenke (while supplies last)!

To keep the group size reasonable, we're limiting this to the first twelve registrants. Additional people can attend for a reduced ticket of $30, which includes Saturday dinner and access to all but the Zenke led four hour game sessions.

We will be announcing this to our general audience in the near future, but wanted to give the GWJ community first dibs. If you are interested in attending, please let me know and make a reservation by the end of next week (9/7/12). Frankly we expect this will end up being an all-GWJ event, but after the 7th I'll be opening it up to the rest of our guests.

Final note: This is a big deal for us, but it still isn't the last of our gaming plans. We have more on the drawing board, including something that I am extremely excited about and am dying to announce!

* Critique on the gaming web page is welcomed.

Moderated by giant turkey legs?

A few grammar/spelling corrections:

This is an all inclusive, bring-nothing-but-your-imagination package.

"all inclusive" should be "all-inclusive"

A Game Master and like minded invididuals to fill out your group

"like minded" should be "like-minded"

Medieval style dinner

"Medieval style" should be "Medieval-style"

Hypens FTW?
