GWJ bugs, feature requests, and updates

Saw it on Chrome desktop about 15 min ago and now on my phone too.

Seems like we're on the verge of something breaking

Seeing it on my phone and many profile pics aren't loading.

Hilariously just happened to me while loading the last page of this thread.
Firefox on PC.

Using Edge and getting it every time I click on a new thread or hit "back"

I'm seeing it too, phone and computer. We were working on a custom *Legion* filter, but maybe it's overcorrecting.

Or maybe some other technical thing is happening. Looking into it ...

He lives!

Turns out we were getting hammered by bots for a while. Should be back to normal now.

Oh weird, "Hammered by Bots" is the name of my ... wait, wrong thread.

Getting an error when I try to upload a banner image this morning

AJAX HTTP Error
Result code 403
Path:/file/ajax/field_hero/und/0/form-
StatusText: errror
ResponseText: Just a moment...

I remember getting something like that before. Workaround was to NOT click on the banner image (to select a focus point).

I’ve passed the message on.

I can't even upload it to preview where to select focus point.

My account still doesn't have admin access, when are we gonna fix that?

Sorry, child labor laws prevent us.

Have you considered relocating to Iowa?

Did nested spoilers get changed? I thought we used to be able to do this.

Note, could be user error.

This should now be resolved, let us know if the issue persists.

Something seems to be wrong, or at least very very slow, today. The front page and Followed Topics page behave normally, but any individual forum page takes several minutes to load.

Is it still happening?

We've been doing a huge database transfer test in the background as part of the new site design. It shoudn't effect much here on the live site, but it does strain the server a bit. I'm guessing that's the cause if it's on the server side of things.

Turns out after 20+ years there's millions of records to transfer.

You can delete a bunch of my failed football predictions. That should clear a million or two.

Let's train a chat bot on those records and see what it has to say!

That actually might be fun. Anyone with a 40 series Nvidia card could use their free chat bot software.

The transfer is from a backup copy of the database, on a different MySQL install, it should not affect site operations.

Is there an ignore user feature and I'm just missing it?

Nope. Once upon a time there was a JavaScript hack, I think, but I don’t know how well it worked or even if it still works.

Hopefully that feature is in the NEW! IMPROVED! GWJ.

The person calling themselves "Evil Homer" wants to block someone - how bad is that other person??

A "hide thread" feature would also be welcome.

I'll poke Certis and Doogie
