Official Team Fortress 2 Game Nights (PC)

Oh also, on Frontier I got frustrated and switched to Demo. It worked for awhile, and I think I managed to out-ragin Ragin for a caber or two.

Sorry about the language tonight fellas. I'm trying to get better but tonight was certainly a slide backwards.

Nice to have Psych on for a little while though. I blame him for all my cursing even when he was no longer on.

Man, I want to know how come that guy didn't want to be my new best friend.

I have been away from the game long enough that I cannot shoot straight. So, if I killed you last night, just know I was probably aiming at someone else.

Honestly, it's probably because your ping was like 26 instead of 200 like it used to be at one point.

MvM Heavy Stuffs
Okay, so I've been playing a lot of mvm heavy lately. Heavy is all about resistance. Knockback rage is also important. First round go resistance. Usually explosive resistance. Wait for knockback until you have the first medics. Fill your resistances (bullet, blast, and krit). If your engineer doesn't put the dispenser in a good place and/or doesn't get dispenser range buffed you can get one point in ammo cap. Normally, though, it isn't very useful. Then put one point into knockback, one point into penetration, and one point into explosive destruction. Order depends on circumstnces but get them all as soon as you have full resistances. If you are at a map with medics get knockback and penetration first. After that I will get kritz canteens and fill out shooting speed, rocket destruction, and penetration.

Don't sit back and shoot from a distance. If you see a heavy doing that in standard play you roll your eyes and think to yourself, "Noob." It's the same in MvM. Get up close (not too close) so you can maximize your damage. That's why you get resistance. A medic is really, really helpful but not necessary. On metro maps you can stand in the lower left corner under the ledge and kill things from behind. It works extremely well as long as you don't start shooting immediately.

When medics accompany things use knockback. Save that knockback rage for robot tanks. Use bullet penetration to kill the tank and the medic at the same time. It works well. Same with two tanks. Line them up so you can shoot both. Use knockback to keep robot tanks from advancing or to separate medics from their tank. Use your canteen to dispatch them quickly.

When a regular tank comes it's pretty simple. Stand in front of it and let it push you. Stay right on it. Use your KK canteens to destroy it asap. Know the ammo locations. Curse at the demos and soldiers who take your ammo. They are jerks. Know the locations well enough so that you don't need to stop shooting to run over an ammo box.

Okay, so now you are a robot killing machine who doesn't need a medic. Don't get cocky. You are still vulnerable to groups (especially groups of krit heavies). Keep an eye on your health and keep the medic alive. A medic with full overheal can give a heavy 750 health. With resistances they can take a serious beating. You are also still very vulnerable to spies.

For weapon choices I don't really think it matters. The brass beast does the most damage. It's just so slow. A lot of people use it but I still don't like it. It's probably the best choice, though. Sasha is my first choice. It still does plenty of damage and is much faster than the beast. Natascha is surprisingly fun and effective. It slows things down a lot which is very helpful on super scouts. It doesn't do that much damage but the slow effect makes up for it. I like it and, to be honest, would prefer to use it. I just find it fun. It does cut your damage down quite a bit from the beast, though. I have not used the tomislav but I don't really see much need for it. It just doesn't have advantages that I can see in MvM.

For secondary weapons I just take the sandvich. I rarely use it but if I can keep the medic alive once during the round it is worthwhile. I use the GRU for melee just because of the speed. 99% of the time, though, I'm using my minigun so it just doesn't matter that much for the other weapons.

Finally, I tend to use a lot of canteens. Heavies can't upgrade weapon damage (other than faster firing) and many of the upgrades only require one point to be effective. Kritz canteens will chew through almost anything with one canteen. It gets expensive to use 3 per round but for just over 4000 total you have full resist (no fire), knockback, bullet penetration, and projectile destruction. That's really all you need.

I know! I just moved and got a much better connection.

Hooray!

WHY IS UKICK PLAYING MEDIC

AGAIN

(checks outside)

Yep -- the sun has become as black as sackcloth, the full moon has become like blood. It is the end.

Dogs and cats living together. MASS HYSTERIA!

Who's leg do I need to hump to get in on this robot action?

Probably Ragin', Evil or Ukick as they seem to be the ones starting most games.

We will more that likely get a game or two going tonight after manne shoots. I will add you to the list of people I spam.

Manne shoots tonight? Sounds gouda to me.

Today is not a day for Chinese food. It is a day for pie.

Spoiler:

This is actually the best spoof available. I take no responsibility for bleeding eardrums.

6th rage quit of my TF2 career tonight.

Not proud of it. But, oh well.

For the boon.

Ukick punching:

Poot Copter

I lose it at the soldier salute every time

Adieu, brave poot-copter; may flights of angels sing thee bravely to thy rest

If anyone has any objections to the dude I kicked. Just google his steam id STEAM_0:1:19506982

5 minute google search showed me he's a possible hacker, likes racial slurs, and homophobic slurs.

I personally had nothing against the kick, some of the shots I saw were suspect.

What I do have objections to, though, is the exodus into Robots.

I had no problems with it, particularly after he got defensive once he was asked about the high number of kills in a short time on his sniper rifle.

Ragin' that was the funnest duel evar. Thank you :).

Thought I was gonna lose bad in that duel.

I had no issues with kicking that kid (assuming he's a kid...mentally at least).

Hightower last night was great fun at the end, like an endless meat grinder everyone was constantly tossing themselves into. I always enjoy short respawn times over other maps (e.g. CP maps) where if you're on defense you have a longer wait.

Yeah Hightower was great last night. Alltalk made it. Plus poofing, epic sniper duel, short respawn times, and all the poofing.

Robots ain't gonna shoot themselves.

I don't know, I find it hard to believe that when those big waves of crit heavies come in that they don't shoot each other in the crossfire.

There's a reason I'm the Bodyshot Snipa! (Because I can't aim for sh*t and can't hit the head!)

Plus lots of the regulars playing their non-regular classes. I usually stick to soldier/pyro, but slipping behind and building a tele exit next to the enemy spawn door was a pretty fun challenge.
