It's every 10 wins.

I say if the people of the gwj server insist on "no-cap" playing, it's no rules time. Also, is there anyone concerned about getting dominated in TF2? Really?

Alright, if we're going to say there's no rules then it applies to kicking as well. If you kill me while I'm walking out of the spawn door, I'll kick you so you can go play on an instant-respawn server where you clearly want to be if you're going to resort to spawn camping.

Also, friend of yours or not telling somebody to "QQ" when they call him on spawn camping is a dick move and he rightfully should have been kicked for that.

A lot of times, especially in a KOTH map, your path of attack can take you all the way to spawn. It happens to everyone from time to time, more so if there are low numbers. I feel that if you are taken to spawn and get a kill, alright, there you go. If you wait around to kill that person again, then it is starting become bad form. If I get killed once coming out of spawn I am annoyed, but understand that it happens (doesn't mean I won't immediately bitch though.) Twice, I am frustrated. Three times and I am ready to not play that map/game anymore.

There are certain maps which make it much easier than others to camp someone's spawn (Dustbowl Part 2, final point). This will happen, quite a bit. But as long as the rest of your team is working towards the objective I won't complain too much. I know I have gotten bent out of shape when I perceived a few players to be attacking spawn instead of working towards the map's objectives.

Really, we have a TON of 'unspoken' rules on Stan's that we have all agreed upon at some point for various reasons. Most exist under the guise of creating a friendly, fair environment. Often our protests against those not following these rules can make us seem rude and elitist. This happens when you play a game with the same basic core group of players for multiple years. I don't mean to be a rude elitist snob, but I am sure I do come off seeming like one from time to time. The internet is full of jerks, and I would rather they stay out of our game. If this makes me a jerk, than I am sorry. I will work on it.

EDIT: What the hell does QQ mean? NM, Wembley just PMed me. You guys are nerds.

The no douchebag rule is always in effect. It covers all the lame pubby tricks that are the reasons we have a passworded server and 20 admins. Like hacking, porn sprays, saying inappropriate things because their moms aren't home, and spawn camping.

We have never allowed spawn camping, and 7 or 8 people having fun playing "no cap" doesn't make it no rules time.

EDIT: forgot my quote

I only said "QQ" after he went on and on for literally more than 3 minutes. That justifies a "QQ" in my book.

Also, baby was sleeping so I couldn't talk on the mic. Had to resort to "lame wow-kiddie" speak.

Most of us know how to read.

Clearly this quarrel can only be resolved with a duel!

Homer's a troll :).

+1

In unrelated news:

I tried dueling Psych to resolve our dispute but turned into a bigger jerk!

But stickying spawn is alright in your book?

sigh, you weren't there, stickies weren't outside the door, only happened once, blah blah blah.

You all know cheeba so it's natural you'd defend him. I'm just saying that I think he was being unreasonable. And remember, he was the one talking junk on this thread before I even got on it, with the "lols" and the "he left b/c he was being dominated". Does the douchebag rule apply to the message boards?

Wait. You turned into a bigger jerk or I did?

I totally yelled at ukick last night because of you. He blew my cover and alerted you to my presence. I was not pleased.

Is that what you're calling it now?

That's a fair point.

Is it sad when we now pass a 1000x post marker without making some comment about it?

You don't know them here very well if you think that's the case :P.

I'm just saying that I think he was being unreasonable.

Had you said that last night, I woulda dropped it in a heartbeat. You didn't. You tried defending it and QQ'ing and all that. I took ownership of going too far with the bitching, you should take ownership of your dickish response.

Don't forget the Pop Pop!

What is this pop pop thing?

I hate to break the drama streak here but does anyone know how I can fast forward through a dem file without crashing the game? Also, Koz how are you getting the matches recorded to something youtube can play?

Any chance the folks playing insult one-upsmanship could hash things out via PM? I'm going to run out of TF2 animal videos, at this rate.

I do take ownership of my dickish response. Ask carrotpanic, I'm kind of dickish.

And what is with the Pop Pop thing? I'm out of the loop on that.

What I do is just move the playback speed to 200% or more and everything happens faster, then move it back to 100%... but moving the playback thingy cursor usually just breaks everything...

I need to quit using the TF2 theme as my ringtone. I started watching that video and then was trying to fish my phone out of my pocket.

am willing to hand them out for free to get this settled in a nicer manner

I use FRAPS and then cut it and encode it to 720p in Windows Movie Maker (I think that's what it's called).

The way I fast forward in the demos is to put in the frame number and hit "Goto". The slider thing doesn't really work at all.

edit: also the Source engine does have a built-in method for creating .avi movies from demos, but it's pretty cumbersome and the framerate is usually pretty awful unless you have a very fast machine.

Nevermind.

How about those tf2 maps, eh? I like the ones with the doors.

I was trying to put in the frame number also, but same thing happens to me as to mex. A crash. I was using demoui, not demoui2 could that be an issue?
