This was a pretty fun koth map I just played on another server. I don't think it would work well as a pre-round map like the other koth maps usually are but I think it would be good for actual play.

Have you guys ever tried this map? I've been trying to find some new cp maps since I don't really like most of the stock ones and we really don't have many custom ones. This looks pretty interesting. Here is a video:

Both maps look nice, and mainline seems great for a full server.

Edit: more seriously, I only switched it to tourney mode a half hour or so ago. If that's still too big a lead I can try to do it sooner in the future - I just really don't like trying to do something that potentially requires troubleshooting right before a deadline.

The smoke from disguising doesn't show up if you're fully cloaked, right? I was watching the demo from the last match and I could see the smoke even if I was fully cloaked. Is this just something the demo does or am I an idiot?

Also, can non-engineer enemies screen you from sentry fire (like dispensers do)? My assumption is they don't but there were three medics clumped by the sentry and I figured I would give it a try. They unclumped too quickly after I got the first stab so I didn't get a chance to see if I could get behind the next one without getting shot by the gun.

I'm pretty positive you don't see smoke if you're on the other team. The demo shows all spies as if they were being viewed by their own team.

And I think the only thing that screens a sentry's fire are buildings (i.e. the dispenser) made by the engineer who made the sentry.

Did I stab you? You turn around way too much. There were a couple times you turn just as I was about to stab you and I got a rocket in the face.

Yeah, those were the times you stabbed three people before you got to me and everyone was yelling 'spy! spy!'.

- Updated the version check when connecting to a server to indicated whether the server's version of the game is older or newer than the client's version when they're different.

Team Fortress 2
- Made Bill's Hat always tradable.
- Fixed a client crash caused by malformed custom client spray.
- Added a Red team skin to the Fists of Steel.
- Fixed melee attacks not destroying remote detonation pipes.
- Added the Rimmed Raincatcher to the list of Unusual hats.
- Fixed the Stickybomb Launcher viewmodel sleeves using the wrong team colors for team Blue.
- Fixed players getting set bonuses applied on tournament servers when the server is restricting the player's weapons using the item_whitelist.
- Updated CP_Thundermountain
- Updated the final stage to have the train begin receding after 15 seconds.
- Reduced the cart speed on the final two ramps in the final stage to 1/2 normal speed.

Sad to say, but I've only accomplished this once. It was hilarious.

My favorite way is this. BTW, this happened to me once, then I switched to spy to try it (which I never play) and got it within the first hour of trying.

Go to the entrance of a tele. Sap. Wait on top of the engy to remove it. Tele-frag! OMG so much fun! Totally changed the way I repair tele's and where I put them so I don't have to stand on top of them to repair. I used to drop them right where I would be standing so as people came through I was "wrench" checking them by default.

So, enough single people tonight to have a private game going? I am not at home yet, might already be going.

I hope the server host has been giving you some money back the priv server is pretty lagged out.

Apparently the private server is made out of butts, so there's that.

Yeah the private was unplayable tonight. Don't think I've ever seen it lag that bad since I've been back.

Oh and thanks boogle for the hat and earbuds!

For the first time in my 8 game hours of TF2 I can honestly say that I wasn't BLOODY AWFUL on the pub server tonight. Good times! Also I'm improving as a Soldier.
