Helping A Family In Need

Pages

If you have read the loathe thread in the last few days, you are aware that our little family has been caught in somewhat of a pickle (or two.) As always, the absolutely wonderful people here at GWJ have extended their hand to help pull us off the ground, and asked that I make a new thread and a page for people to donate if they want.
So I did just that.

So far, just the generous offer of help has been overwhelming and I'm afraid that it has already turned me into a crying mess. Thank you in advance for anyone who donates, and to everyone who is sending warm wishes our way during this big clusterf*ck, it really means the world to us and I'm not sure how I can ever repay the kindness, other than paying it forward whenever I get the chance.
Thank you.

Chipped. We're all hoping for the best for you guys.

Chipped in; please let us know of anything else we can do! If you're in NC we can cook you a kick-ass dinner.

Chipped in as well. Will probably chip in again, if conditions allow it. I want to help, dammit!!

...and donated-ified.

Good luck and please keep us updated.

Since Sthillary has been talking here while I've been getting other stuff in order as best I can, I figured I'd pop in.

You guys are the best ever. Really. I've not got delusions of eloquence at the best of times, but I'm completely speechless at the outpouring of support.

I mean it. I was hoping to be able to think of something heartwarming and tangentially witty to say, but I have absolutely nothing.

GWJ has the best people on the planet.

In the time it took me to remember my paypal password the total jumped by like $300. I love this community.

Best of luck to you guys.

As long as you submit your Portal 2 challenge maps, we're all good.

Hey, we're glad to help, my friends. This is why we're here.

I just put some in, am writing an appeal post on my blog (doesn't have many readers but you never know) and I'll be asking people at work if they can pitch in tomorrow. Fight the good fight guys, we're with you!

Where are you seeing this? I keep seeing 1 contributor, $20 total. I'm scared now that my chip in didn't register!!

Best wishes, guys, and good luck!

Give it a few minutes.

You might just need to refresh the page or something. You should also get a confirmation email.

Showing

Spoiler:

$500 now.

Way to go GWJ!

You two have always been good people and I hope this turns out okay for you.

Just contributed what a bike mechanic recovering from a move can give...for now. I'm hoping to give some more to the cause when a few loose ends get wrapped in the next two weeks.

Together, though? We'll beat this thing.

No doubt.

$1,000 and counting. GO GWJ!

May these funds make the processes of setting things right a little easier for you and your family, we're all rooting for you.

Take care you guys and keep us posted on how everything is working out, especially with your child!

Been unemployed for months now. Chipped in. Good luck.

Wow, I.. am speechless. Someday I think I need to have my firstborn's middle name be Goodjer. Or first name, depending on gender.
I can't thank you all enough.

Chipped. I can't give a lot, but I hope it's helpful. Best of luck, you two.

As of right now, there's $1,655 contributed from 14 people, meaning the average contribution per person is over $100.

Anyone points to another community they think is better than GWJ, I will point to this thread and claim their argument is invalid.

Oh the horror! We might need another thingy for therapy if you do that...

St.Hillary and Kannon,

Long time lurker (8 years and ongoing) and very infrequent poster here.

Sorry to hear about your family troubles.

Hope that things will be sorted out soon.

Wish I could offer more. Best of luck on resolving this, particularly for K.Jr.

Good luck!

Though, as awesome as that is, every bit counts. So anyone who can afford to throw even a little in the pile to help out our goodjer brethren, please do so and don't feel shy no matter what amount it is.

My wife and I will chip in as soon as I'm back at a real computer. Does it really require Flash to donate, or am I missing something?

It appears to (for some strange reasion).

StHillary and Kannon: This is terrible news. I'll be helping with a large chunk when the next pay check comes in (read: middle of Aug).

I received a donation a few days ago for my Fallout mods, and it seemed like a Goodjer-y thing to do to toss it your way. Best of luck!
