NCAA13 BCS (XBox 360) League Discussion (1 Spot Open)

Hey Kush,

I'd like to switch to Tulsa. They are a two star school and I'll get a chance to build a program.

Thanks
Spy

Now I'm really stoked to play with Rutgers this year. I went to Atlantic City this weekend, and they had this huge billboard with the new Rutgers uniforms. Sometime in mid-August, EASports is going to push out a uniform patch, and this will include the Rutgers uniforms.

I hope the patch gets the names back on to the backs of the Kansas uniforms. It sucks not easily having names. Weiss put them back on for this year.

The chrome helmets look nice. I must say.

So nice you posted twice...

Yes. I like shinny, new things.

I dropped Roughing to 53 and had zero called over two games. I will give 54 a try. Roughing should be in the game, and we have to be close to a balance.

On the flipside, I bumped pass coverage to 85 on both sides, and it became an INT fest for both teams. instead of dropping it, I dropped INTs down to 45. This felt like a good balance.

But iam getting too many sacks, so I am considering pushing USER pas rush down or CPU pass blocking up.

Also, I've got the speed threshold down to 30. This is good. Will we go lower?

I'd argue to be real careful with any calls that amount to 15 yard penalties. You can watch several games on a Saturday and not see a roughing call.

It's going to be real frustrating if these pop up without the user doing something extreme well after the play. It's just too arbitrary feeling and too damaging. It can really affect the outcome of a game.

These calls in real life are designed to keep QBs from getting injured. If we're not seeing that in our game, I don't really think I'd like to see many roughing calls.

I was playing with your initial sliders, and I'm getting very few sacks. Too few, actually. This is with Iowa playing NIU, Iowa St., and CMU. I should have seen more than one against one of those MAC teams, but that was about the number I was getting per game. What are you playing with now on the pass rush?

Any updates on the roster files? I think we should shoot for 1 week after they come out, gives everyone time to sign up and get set up for Week 1.

I heard OS completed theirs last night

OS is editing ratings, though. I think we are best to stick with default ratings, unless we have some reason to believe that the ratings are not a biased POS.

Fairdale Kings is done with the big six conferences and the Sun Belt.

I will say that I have not seen a problem with Pastapadre's so far. So that is still a possibility.

I used the one you linked early on from xIZ GONE RAINx. They're fine so far, but I haven't really tested them...they have names for all the MAC players, but I haven't checked their validity.

I use Pastas, they are good so far.

same, I looked at pastas and they seem legit. I dont know how accurate the benchwarmers are, but the starters are good for the teams i've played so far.

I nabbed Pasta's too. They seemed ok. A little weirded out by the lack of dreads on Denard Robinson though.

You guys ever feel like this when playing?

Absoluteness, lol.

After looking into it a bit, maybe the OS rosters are worth a look. Apparently the rating edits are minimal, as they concentrated on numbers, race, equipment, and depth charts. If we grab them now, they may be good to go.

And Denard should have his dreads.

I'd be happy with OS rosters. And getting started soon!

I messed with them some today, and they are fine. Kansas is a little screwed, but SMU looked fine.

Pretty sure I hate Tulsa with an ugly passion. Oh well, I'll have to adjust to their weaknesses, er strengths. Ready to get started as well, are the OS names the ones we are using?

Will you guys hate me or make fun of me if I ask: What does OS stand for?

Actually, Shag wanted to know, but I told him that although I know the answer, you guys would tell it so much better.......

Thanks, like I said, I already knew that, but now Shag knows

If someone can find the school rivals, I'll be your best friend

Rosters have been downloaded.

I thought it meant Omnipotent Shag!

For anyone wanting to check out the OS rosters, you ca download from several gamertage. I think I uploaded a version myself.

But the easiest to remember is CK11.

I started up an offline SMU dynasty this afternoon. All is good with these. The only thing I saw that bummed me out was some of KU's freshmen are missing. I particular, I have high hopes the Schyler Miles is going to start at MLB this year. But I don't see any way he could be reasonably rated any higher than OVR 60. So it is just not having him in future seasons. And, oh yeah, I'm using SMU!

I would say grab these now before the "experts" over at OS start going nutso on the rating edits.
