Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Secret is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue crystal, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red crystal, you stay in Ponycornland, and you'll find out how deep the pony hole goes.

Changing Rabbit to Pony in that sentence totally changes the context for it in a very, VERY disturbing way.

Wait... play? We're supposed to play these? I thought the whole intent was just to put them in the pile and admire them!

This changes EVERYTHING!

Friend me & PM me. I'd like to give it away today.

I just want to say that 44 out of my 58 friends own Bastion. That's 76%. More than three quarters of all my friends on Steam own this game.

Most of my friends own it too. I was checking profiles to see if I could leave someplace & quietly sneak away.
Luckily, ClockworkHouse was available to adopt it. I'm sure Bastion has a good home now.

RNG was VERY mad at me for giving BullionCube this idea.

You must be new here.

I love you, Gabe Newell.

Weird, I never got credit for the public group and didn't get the badge

I'm looking at my Steam library with all the dread of someone who awakes to find the Necronomicon wide open on his dinner table.

What have I done?
What have I done!?

I still haven't downloaded all of them.

Damage during the Summer Sale period. (I spread it around a little bit. Sorry Steam, but hey they all register there )

Dungeon Siege III w/ Expansion
LOTR: War in the North
Alan Wake + Expansion
Alice II
Penny Arcade stuff (3)
WH4K Space Marine

..and at the last minute, the wife decided she wanted Warlock. LOL

Think that adds up somewhere in the vicinity of $70.

Hey, hey. ChipRMonk's dead. I call dibs on his Steam account.

I found a good mix of stuff this sale:

Chantelise 2.49 USD

I still haven't downloaded all of them.

It would be impossible to download all my steam games at once. We would have to get into that whole "encoding the event horizon of a black hole" thing going on.

I'm asking here because I bought the game during the sale, and the there's no more-appropriate recent thread: what can I do to get Beyond Good and Evil to look as good as possible on a modern system?

Following a suggestion on the Steam forums, I used regedit to disable the letterboxing, but it's still not using full resolution, and I'm also getting graphical glitches. The game's art style ought to age better than I'm seeing.

I'm starting to miss this thread already. This was my life for the past 10 days.

So I bought the Warlock - Master of the Arcane Powerful Lords DLC, and I already own it. Does anyone want it?

Did alright I think.

Filled out SAInt's Row 3 with the DLC.
Gifted Space Marine.
Picked up Binary Domain.
Got Dead Island and since the sale was so good, I picked up the four pack for gifting.

Dead Island's a special case. I had it on Xbox but the coop crowd wasn't very good. I'm hoping for better luck on the other side.

The amount of items that sat in my cart for hours and were then removed is what surprises me, though buying a new laptop in the middle of the sale probably curbed some of my spending.

It's weird seeing the store front back to normal...

Here's my damage report....

This community is amazing. I've been involved in 3 other gaming communities and none of them come anywhere near the amount of generosity and communal assistance that I've seen here in less than a year. I am incredibly proud to be part of this group.

I think for the Winter Sale I might dial it back a little. I feel a little weird not being able to remember who I gave gifts too and that's a little important to me. However, it's incredibly intoxicating just throwing out good will freely, so maybe I'm doing too much navel gazing.

Seems reasonable. I fear for the next sale, when I'm actually at my computer for most of it...

My favourite part personally is actually having taken a look at my current Steam library. Man, I should legitimately be set for months!

Thanks to everyone in this thread. This sale's been a total blast. I loved getting all these new Steam friends and, of course, ponycorns. I'm so happy I've found my way to this forum, it's the best.

WideScreenGamingForum topic

Seems like that same thing, only some registry hack to disable letterbox. Or setting a 4:3 resolution bigger than your actual display size, so that the black bars are hidden off the top and bottom of your screen and you don't' get the stretching. But I'm not sure when that post was from and if my video card or monitor will cooperate with that.

Good luck. I'll be trying to get to this myself sometime soon...
