Steam Summer Sale 2012 Gift-All

I'm wondering if ARMA 2 will be discounted more than 20%... It's not on the leaked Steam sale list: http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/co...

Also, does anyone have an opinion about Binary Domain? Looks like it may be decent coop shooter if robots are the new zombies for you.

I'm waiting on that ARMA2:CO sale myself as I need to buy 2 copies.

New Community Choice up...come on, vote for Torchlight. I don't own it and I want the precious...

How do you not own that game...it is awesome.

One vote for Torchlight coming up

edit - and I got the junior architect badge for voting for it. woot

I don't suppose voting Torchlight will get any discount off of Torchlight 2?

And since I already have it pre-ordered it doesn't matter.

And considering I couldn't give away a copy of Torchlight this weekend, I assume everyone already has it?

One vote for Torchlight over here as well. I have it. You should too.

Wow. Sanctum won the vote. Who doesn't have that game yet?

Definitely something up with that. There's no way that game could have won the vote.

How is Shoot Many Robots?

I assume there's shooting of robots. But is it fun?

It was the biggest discount % of the 3. The biggest discount has won almost every single vote so far.

What is Sanctum? Is it any Darksiders?

It's kinda like Secret of the Magic Crystals.

For grownups?

Also, Sanctum is pretty awesome.

You shoot a ton of robots... you get many loots. you jump many platforms. As a redneck. I found it pretty fun. You will have to replay levels to grind and buy better guns and gear, but I found it enjoyable.

Whoa... clicked on Steam Community to see who's buying what or achieving what and so on...

The Blotter feature has been temporarily disabled.

Guess we were overloading the servers?

So I'm a filthy skimmer and couldn't find any post about GTA4. I've played very little of any of the GTA franchise. Worth it?

Well Citizen86 gifted it to me before I could do much more research. So I guess I will try it out! Thanks!

I have actually been playing GTA4 recently, and even though Red Dead did shooting better (I never played L.A. Noir), I think it still holds up generally. The driving is way better than the driving in GTA3, and the shooting really isn't that bad. My only gripe is with the way your actions in game are contrary to the main character's supposed motivations.

EDIT: And just as I was about to click the buy button on my cart, Jonfentyler gifted me a copy of San Andreas. Thank you so much!

You guys are making me wanna play RDR again. Its been years. I can't even remember why I stopped abruptly...

That makes the choice even easier. Everyone just needs to get Stronghold 1 and call it good if they feel the need to play a castle sim.

See if you still say that after trying to get through the Pig's castle. f*ck.that.mission.

I'm not sure I've ever seen the end of that game. Stop on that mission every time.

Wait. Am I confused? I seem to remember the driving in GTA3, VC, and San Andreas working pretty well, and the driving in GTA4 being one of the few things that reviewers were negative on when the game first came out and they were all falling over themselves to give the game 10s. I could have sworn that at least one of them even said that the only reason the game didn't get dinged worse for the driving was the availability of the taxis to drive you everywhere.

Am I losing my mind or am I just remembering completely incorrectly?

I voted on Torchlight as well. I already own it but it's such a good game I had to vote for it so others can enjoy it at a good price.

Was it the hours and hours of what seemed like filler in Mexico?

EDIT: That came out much more sarcastically than I meant it to. I really did like my time with RDR but the middle seemed really, really slow.

You know, doing the sale this way, as a gift giver is a lot more fun than just adding to my library. Though there have been temptations, instead I've bought those items for others Christmas in July!

I hadn't heard of the driving in 4 being particularly bad... I enjoyed it well enough. I think the city being so large and you having to drive long distances during missions got a little annoying, but like I said, I've been playing it again and I haven't noticed anything really awful about it.

EDIT: As for RDR, Mexico really dragged on. The ending was totally worth pushing through, though. I loved that game. The animation system was great, and the stuff they did with the textures made everything feel really... grimy.

Clocky, I tried to find you on Steam but couldn't. Add me!

Oooor... I could clean out my Download folder and finally sort my music onto my Media drive. That could free up a short 100 GB.

Yeah I had to tidy up my torrents folder the other night when the drive went red.

For f*cks sake! The drive with my Steam install is running out of room.
522 GB. 396,521 Files in 22,449 Folders.

And 66 games not even installed according to the list.

Time to go through the list and ask the difficult question:"Will I actually ever be in the mood to play this during the lifespan of this computer?"

Oooor... I could clean out my Download folder and finally sort my music onto my Media drive. That could free up a short 100 GB.
EDIT: Aha! I moved my Origin and GOG installs to that drive at some point and between The Witcher 2, Battlefield 3, Bulletstorm, and the Dead Spaces they've chewed up all my space.

Finally home picked up the double fine bundle buying thus buying psychonauts for the fourth time. Can't wait to try the other two games. Started playing insanely twisted planet and it is awesome. Hope to beat it tonight then I'll try to finish Sam and Max. And why did people pick sanctum that game always seemed so dull.

Edit: oh and tried I wanna be the guy gaiden. Five minutes of pain later I erased that. Too painful.

Metro 2033 or No Metro 2033. Hmm. I thought I was strong not picking it up but its staring at me right now.

I went to lunch ansd missed the doublefine bundle anyway Thanks for the responses though!.. i'm feeling generous.. First person to DM me gets Limbo gifted.

Dude, friend me up. A bunch of us have extra copies from preordering Torchlight 2.

Does anyone know of a soundtrack pack for Botanicula?
