That's what you heard, however... I wish you luck!”

Anyone know what the deal is with Sid Meier's Railroads? I went to get a copy for my son and it's no longer on Steam?

Phew. Thanks for the heads-up.

Very happy to help, I couldn't recommend that game at three cents, let alone three dollars.

I'm holding out for a GalCiv 2 sale as I've been looking for a solid 4x space game that will run on one of my aging laptops. If not, maybe I'll finally try to figure out Sword of the Stars or just play more Sins.

Gal Civ is not a solid space game, and it's somewhat resource intensive. I'm a fan of Space Empires IV (not V! Never V!).

We can argue the former point some other time, but as far as Gal Civ being resource intensive, well, my laptop from late 2005 plays it. He's probably okay.

Thanks all. Poking around at everybody's list, it seems like Nexus - the Jupiter Incident and Star Ruler are good bets as well in addition to Space Empires IV.

NExus is awesome, haven't played much Star Ruler but folks seem to enjoy it.

So I've read back through a few pages and there's not a single mention of Stronghold 3 Gold. I've always liked the look of it, anyone willing to convince me?

Thanks to Krev for Limbo, I've been interested in trying that for a while.

Double thanks to Krev for Stacking!

He said the Government could take my money, but not my games. Obviously not familiar with the Australian government's stance on gaming

Wow, that's weird. I have it, went to the entry in my library, clicked on "Store Page" and it just goes to the Steam main page. I guess it must be gone if you don't already have it.

Edit: It gets better... if you go to the official site at http://www.2kgames.com/railroads/rai... and click the button that says "In stores this October" you end up at http://store.steampowered.com/ main page.

But NO ONE expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!

479 posts since I last checked this thread last night. You guys can do better than that!

I come home and what do I see? COH. Thanks Ahrezmendi. Or Santa.

Hey! Don't make someone have to send you a gift!

Maybe they're doing some re-negotiating for a GOG launch? Pirates! just arrived on their service today.

Are you trying to test our age, though they did just make a remake....anyway, right idea, wrong movie.

Holy sh*t guys you are on a 100 posts an hour tear here. This is impossible to keep track of!

And you're not helping to keep it down! Just kidding. I love this stuff.

Daily sales are meh but hopefully Krater will win the vote sale and...hrm...what to do...

Binary Domain!

I've been waiting for a sale on this one and I need some advice. Do you think it's going to be a daily sale (at a better price) later in the sale? For those who have played it I'm open to some enabling. Yeah it looks like GoW a bit but that's not a bad thing for me because I don't own an xbox360 so I've only ever played the first GoW on PC and I've also missed a lot of the GoW clones that have made their way through xbox so I'm not fatigued on third person shooting right now.

Yeah I have it but I wanted to get another copy so my son could play with it when I am on steam, too bad!

With every post the bridge gets higher and the gorge gets deeper.

Eh, Quintin?

Oh, I see. Before we got my wife and son their own Steam accounts, what we'd do is have the person that didn't need to be online (usually my son) sign in to Steam and put it into offline mode, then start his game up (Peggle, Bejeweled, etc) and then I could sign in to mine and play online.

Yup, that is how my daughter plays Secret of the Magic Crystals

We all know who is playing it.

It's a good thing that today's sale is light on anything I want cause catching up on this thread is taking all my time.

Still probably going to bite on the new Vegas pack and maybe arma2 when it comes around. Even the stuff I want to gift hasn't seen the prices I'm looking for. Only ck2 for myself thus far, a couple games for the wife and a couple or three gifts!

Another vote for CoH if anyone is still on the fence.

Anybody buying the Batman pack that comes with Gotham City Impostors that wants to play with somebody, let me know. Love that game.

If you don't have it, it's $5 by itself.

Great little under appreciated shooter arcadey MP shooter IMO. Very goofy fun can be had.

It is GFWL, and initially launched without some standard PC customizations like FOV, but that's been improved with patches, and Monolith has added free maps and game modes a couple of times since launch.

There's a couple like that. I have the Neverwinter Nights 2 pack from last summer's sale and it isn't on Steam anymore. Same with an odd RPG called Winter Voices. It looks like I can still re-download them but they aren't available for sale anymore. Maybe it's a key thing?

I have games on my wishlist that don't exist on Steam anymore either.

That's what I do too, but it can be a bit of a pain.

In other news.. has anyone tried the "Remote Install" from Steam? I'm having troubles getting some of my games to install remotely, most notably GTA 4.

The Steam forums didn't have any real answer short of it's most likely a licensing issue. You can, however, get it for about nine bucks on Amazon.

On a different note, can anyone enable me on Stronghold 3? I've been interested in the series, but never pulled the trigger. Now the original Stronghold is gone from Steam and I wonder if numero three is good/worth it.

Damn it. Sniper Elite v2 on Amazon bit me and then Steam kicked my shin with the DLC.

I've heard terrible things, but I wonder if the issues were fixed. I need enablement as well.

I played the demo for 360 and it was fun... not sure I would want to play the whole game, but watching your bullet tear through an enemy is really satisfying.

Would love to be convinced too - always wanted an excuse to get it.

My little brother and I picked the first one up around the same time. He sank into it hard and I got distracted shortly after you have to rescue the wounded guy and futz around with mines.
When I came back to it I could never figure out how to place the tripwires correctly and just replayed the beginning section a few times.
