Pages

The good money's on the sale starting this coming Thursday. Prepare your wallets!

Payday is Friday. HOLY f*ckBUCKETS.

I'm going to buy so many RPGs I'll never play.

By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings!

LOL..

Anything anyone expect as a price drop for this sale?

I dunno, people are still holding on SR3 or Skyrim because there price was set to high for them?

I'm waiting on Arma 2 CO and Age of Empire 3. Age shouldn't be still at 40$.. that's insane for me :S

Um yay for sales!

$10 for Skyrim is my breaking point. If it doesn't hit that here, it'll hit it at the Black Friday sale, I'm sure.

I'm at over 600 games, 700 here I come :O

Yeah Skyrim is definitely on my radar for the mods.

I think my money is safe this time (famous last words). There pretty much isn't anything that I desperately must have unless there is an unbelievably awesome deal on a game on my wishlist.

Arma 2 CO

That's my only must buy. I'm going to really try and limit myself this sale. I've bought most of the indie games that came out this year that I cared about, and I've been fairly lax on my game purchases in general. I've also got some new hospital bills to pay, so that should curb my enthusiasm for cheap stuff I'll probably not get to for years.

Honestly, I should be good this time, though I am a sucker for package deals. How do you think I got most of my games. I love me a good package deal.

On the bright side, since I own mostly everything, package deals are harder to tempt me

Kinda the same. Depending on what contest they cook up, I might end up getting a couple of indie games that I hadn't planned on to participate. But we'll see.

$5 for Singularity plz.

Well since I pretty much didn´t buy any games this year yet except for the humble bundles, I'm all for some strategy and racing games! Also, I missed buying Warlock: Masters of Arcane when it was 10 dollars, so I hope at least it goes down to that price again.

I'm not ashamed to admit the only reason I'd buy ArmA II: CO is for DayZ. If it's on sale, it will be difficult to resist...

Speaking of contest... as long as it's not lumps of coal and worthless coupons again. Best one they had was those tickets you could redeem for either games or DLC for certain games.

I plan on buying nothing, but I wanted to post in the thread anyway.

I'm hoping for deep discounts on the Game of Thrones games, Alan Wake, and The Walking Dead. But who knows what my wallet might be tempted by! Dangerously, I'll be away from home at the beginning of the sale on a mini-vacation, which is always when the sales are at their most dangerous, as I like to play games vicariously by buying them.

I'll probably pick up Arkham City and Gemini Rue. Aside from those two, I don't think I have any interest in anything on Steam.

I mean, aside from the 50 games in my backlog.

I think SR3 DLC and that's probably it for me. Backlog is too big from past sales to really care, although if there's an achievement chase I'll probably do that.

Saw the thread and got all giddy thinking it had started today.

My wish list is really just Skyrim, Walking Dead, and Legend of Grimwalk. Maybe WH40K: Space Marine if it's cheap.

I'll probably get the games I've skipped over the last couple of years, which is to say Metro and Singularity.

I think I'm in the same boat as a lot of folks: too many Steam sales and nothing that really is all that interesting that I want to buy. I'm going to put $20 into my Steam wallet just in case but I don't see all that much left to get no mater how crazy-awesome the prices end up being.

Also, Clocky making this thread again this year makes me smile.

Steam sales are becoming legendary. Those of you who play Kingdom of Loathing may have caught this little joke. (Note the last line.)

I think I'm kinda tapped out on games.... I've got just about everything I want. This might possibly be the first Steam Sale where I don't buy anything.

I survived the last Steam sale with my wallet intact. I hope to do so again...... my backlog is big enough as is.

I have entirely too much to do to really justify a purchase atm but I also have $10 optimistically begging to be traded for Arma II CO.

Sweet only took a half page of useless banter in the main deals thread for you to start it this year!

Well, so far, I really dig what GOG.com is doing for its summer sale. Let the customer choose which game received the biggest discount.

Wonder if Valve could pull something like that?

That's a good point. I could see playing some games that have been sitting on my backlog for an achievement chase.

Also, always the possibility that I will shower a few Goodjers.....

with games..

I've seen a few people mention Singularity. As someone who just recently played through it, I can tell you whatever sale it may get, it's worth it.
