2012 GOTY - So Far

So yeah uhm, can I just say Dark Souls for PC, even though it is not out yet? It was the game of the decade anyway - so far...

I'm sure I'm going to end up loving AC3 like everyone else, but yeah. There's a very good possibility this could be my GOTY for 2 years in a row if the port is decent and the extra content is as good as the rest of the game. Too good!

You can sit here and tell me I shouldn't worry about the price of a meal at Ruth's Chris because the steak is so amazing, and I shouldn't waste my time on meatloaf because it's full of filler, but I can eat meatloaf for 2 weeks at that price and meatloaf isn't too bad anyhow, imo.

Yeah I'm curious to see how it ends up. I could be double dipping, especially depending on when/if and at what price that extra content releases for on PS3.

KoA: Reckoning for me, thus far. I have bought but haven't played ME 3, and am itching to try Dragon's Dogma.

I don't think that analogy fits due to the almighty pile. If you have a decent sized pile, why the hell would you choose the meatloaf when you already have a 1 year supply of meatloaf sitting in the fridge?

I think the pile is a different thing for each person. I have one. I don't place its importance over new games because if a game didn't grab me enough to finish it the first time, it likely won't ever. To me, the pile is the first step toward reselling a game.

I just remembered that I had a heck of a lot of fun with Stacking, which was new on the PC this year, even though it was out like two years ago everywhere else. I'm not sure it's GOTY-worthy, but it was cool.

Crusader Kings II.
