CMU and CSU get SNUBBED hardcore.

Western destroyed FAU 59-28. Felt more like a preseason game then a bowl game. Western ends the season 12-1

Well, I didn't have a great season, but I thought I'd at least I'd get a match-up with an FAU or something.

OKLAHOMA?!?!?! Ummmmm, is it too late to give up a TD to Rice in the 4th?

I'll need something to bite down on.........................and something to clean up the blood and tears.

Yeah, that's some bullschnit right there.

OK, here we go (it's just Emma and daddy today, so this game will probably take all day to complete).

Temple took the opening kickoff vs Oklahoma, and completed a 73-yard drive, as Matt Brown scored on a 9-yard draw play. It's a 6-play drive, that saw Brown do most of the heavy lifting, including a huge 37-yard run on a counter.

Temple's first defensive stand a successful one, as Oklahoma is held to 19 yards on their first drive. Oklahoma moving the ball well, but on 1st down at the Temple 49 yard line, Levi Brown got a 7-yard sack. Landry Jones wasn't able to complete a pass on the next two plays, and Oklahoma was forced to punt. Temple has the ball on their own 19.

3:08, 1st Quarter
Temple-7
Oklahoma-0

Temple takes a long time consuming drive, and comes away with a FG. Oklahoma then takes 1 play, and rushes 75 yards for a TD.

*EDIT*
And Temple comes right back, good mixture of passing and running, Girardi threw to Miller on a hook pattern with most of the Sooners blitzing, Miller turned around, lost his man, and ran 49 yards for paydirt!

5:01, 2nd Quarter
Temple-17
Oklahoma-7

What the hell....the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl? Seriously? You would think that the #16 rank team in the nation would at least get something a little better than the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Whatever....this is dumb.

Before the end of the half, Oklahoma scored a TD to make the score 17-14. With Temple driving, Girardi threw a bad pass into double coverage that was picked off, only to have the CB fumble the ball away, and a Temple player scooped up the loose ball and ran it 40+ yards for the TD! But after further review, the CB was down, and the TD was taken off the board. Oklahoma drove deep into Temple territory, before getting sacked with 9 seconds left in the half and a timeout. Currently out of FG range, and with a 3rd and long, Landry Jones dropped back to pass, and started scrambling frantically in the backfield to avoid the sack, and threw a pass to a WR at the 12 yard line, but Rutgers tackled him at the 7 with no time left in the half. Oklahoma got the ball back in the 2nd half, but Temple held defensively again. Temple then drove the length of the field, once again on the back of matt Brown, who scampered into the endzone for a 1-yard score, his 2nd of the day. Matt Brown currently has 165 yds rushing on 24 attempts, and looking to take game MVP.

2:47, 3rd Quarter
Temple-24
Oklahoma-14

You finished 3rd in the MAC

Dumb is having a (7-5) record and NOT getting 1 of the 3 trillion bowls available. Once again, Leroy and Firesloth got screwed.

I'm there with you Zell. My number 10 team played a 7-5 FAU team who had no business going against me. Should have had us play each other or something.

I agree...seriously...I know I was third in the MAC, but that was after a one point loss to Rice. Add in there that I beat ECU, Miami, and UCF...I know I shouldnt get a huge bowl game...but something with a little more prestige than the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl....come on....

It looks more at where you finished in your conference than your record, unfortunate, but since the MAC has a bunch of 2-3 star teams, you guys are not going to get the glamorous matchups. I also once again point out that we had 2 teams with (7-5) records who were held out of their respective bowl games. I also take it Leroy had the MAC champion taking on the Big 12, since I was playing Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum, I could have got a easier opponent, you guys should have scored a harder one.

Speaking of which.......................

Temple STUNS the nation, beating Oklahoma 30-14. Temple had the bend, don't break defense, and shut OU off the scoreboard for the 2nd half. Meanwhile, Oklahoma had no answer for Temple RB Matt Brown, who rushed for 230 yards and 2 scores. Temple had the ball for over 6 more minutes than OU, including killing the last 3:04 of the game.

Bowl slots are about tie ins and which schools will give the best ticket sales. Finishing very far down in the MAC and with a small fan base, CSU shouldn't have gotten a bowl bid. Well...maybe over FAU.

That was a fun game...you guys should look at it...UCLA was beating Marshall 38-14 at the half...First play of the third quarter, Cato gets knocked out...Backup comes in and just destroys the secondary of UCLA. Final score Marshall 49-UCLA 48.

Looks like UCLA didn't like how you were bashing them and asking for a better opponent

In all honesty, in no universe should Temple beat OU. I didn't use any trick plays or abuse weaknesses, I catered my offense to what the defense was showing me. But OU should have spanked me sideways with one arm tied around it's back. It's mind-boggling that UCLA could prove a tougher opponent than Oklahoma. Then again, maybe EA Sports HATES the Sooners.

I'm not saying that Marshall abused weaknesses or trick plays, but Marshall abused weaknesses and trick plays to get back in that one.

Sadness...I went to show my friend the comeback...turns out EA didnt record the damn game. I was mad....just replayed it...still close but not as much. Herd wins 57-45.

Not quite...I just got lucky because both their starting safety and CB went down middle of the third quarter for the rest of the game...so it opened holes in the secondary to exploit. Lets face it though, I dont have a strong HB...I dont even have a FB (its a TE running back there). My best two players on my offense are both WRs...so since I play out of the spread and have two good WRs...why not throw a lot?

I know all about not having a FB. I've been using an OT as a TE in the BCS league

limits some of a plays effectiveness. Dont it?

Definitely makes it hard to throw from those formations.

Rice gets by Fresno State 24-21. Believe we are done with the season.

Let's get on with the super roll!

Let the roll commence!!!

Damn, Auburn wants Chris Kushnier to coach them next year!!!

Boise St has offers out to Capt. Obvious, Hugor Hill, and Willie Owen

For some reason, it won't let me force Willie to stay at WMU

I will get on tonight and sign with WMU.

Its been tonight for awhile. What the hell man?

Wow, I am extremely honored, but I will remain with Temple...............and their 4 offensive linemen

Watching the Stanley Cup Finals once the game is done I shall take care of it

It would be so awesome to move to Boise St....but in the spirit of making Marshall a national champion. I will stay here.
