Hurricane Survival Thread 2012
So our annual thread should have started already. We're up to D already in June, the earliest since they've been naming I think I heard. Previous earliest D was like July 3?
Debby (who decides how to misspell names over there?) has been raining on us on the Gulf side of Florida for about 5 days now.
Still getting massive gusts of wind, tidal surge, and some flooding around the area. So far so good on electricity around my area. And no tornado touchdowns here, but several around the state. Skyway bridge is closed for a few days, so traffic around the bay will be a nightmare.
Predictions now seem to send it back across the northern part of the state and back out to sea.
While it was just sitting in the gulf trying to decide what to do, it just pounded us with rain from Thurs-Mon almost non-stop. Saw the sun for the first time in days yesterday afternoon.
