Warframe

Nitain is now purchased with wolf cred earned by doing the nightwave challenges and capturing those three grineer in pj's that now spawn randomly in missions. Nitain also shows up with really low chances in a few drop tables, low enough I don't think its worth thinking about.

I believe the wolf cred will become useless once the wolf themed nightwave gets replaced by something else in a few weeks, so spend it while you got it. If I'm right about that I imagine left over cred will sit useless in your inventory until the wold nightwave stuff rolls around again. Here's hoping the next round is monkey cred.

Interesting. Looks like I need to get on that then since I've been focused on other things.

So one very important frame you guy sare not talking about.

Volt (or volt prime) - Got to go fast!!!

They used to be anniversary gifts, that you gained on login. Now they are rewards for completing an item specific alert. On PC, they all show up on the alert list, so if they aren't live yet on Switch, I would expect them to show up soon.

They popped up yesterday. Got all the weapons. Think I have one more cosmetic item to get. I really enjoyed the swords in my limited time last night.

Is there a guide or build for doing this? I started recently just with Volt (now levelled up) but my friend who plays Warframe a lot gave me all the parts for Saryn Prime, and it finished crafting yesterday.

I'm assuming it needs range mods?

Awesome - thanks!

Ooof, I’ve been in parties with Volts where I’m going so fast, I spend all my time smacking into walls... probably going slower overall. I can’t understand the people that can manage it.

Limbo was my go-to for Spy missions for quite a while, now I just Gara my way through them. I still have affection for him - I feel like more people need to play him so they understand how his abilities work (or don’t work) with other players. On long defence missions, you pop your 4 (~60s) then 2 (~30s) = giant bubble where enemies get frozen as they enter it, and you gain energy while you’re inside the bubble, you can maintain that cycle indefinitely (just need to keep recasting... and keep Nullifiers away).

I love my Gara - 2 (~50s of 90% DR, and damages enemies and breakables) starts of small ~400dps (note: you can put this on other players/pets and objects), 4 puts up shield wall and resets the timer on your 2 (and whatever it touches that also has your 2), step outside the shield and break it with your 1 (adds dps based on your melee weapon - I get over 10k per “break”), this dps just keeps getting higher with each break as long as your 2 hasn’t expired - I think I’ve had it over 500k damage per SECOND on long missions (I’ve heard the game will stop adding to it somewhere past 2.5 million (maximum number size, in the game engine). Nullifiers are enemy #1.
(Pretty sure I’ve gone over this before, but seriously... Gara is so good!)

Since I'm mostly solo, I still run Limbo for just about everything. Being able to duck into the rift to let shields regen, reload weapons, get energy etc etc makes soloing a whole lot easier.

Watching Brozime play he'll hit 1 mil after a bit even though he's not trying. At ~250k he's easily onshotting things on a run by. Adding in his Zaw builds makes it pretty crazy.

I have 2-3 builds for different speeds. The faster builds it does take a bit of getting use to. However, if you are like relic farming and just trying to speed do Capture's etc. it's pretty amazing the difference.

Thanks for the recommendations. I only have Nezha and Volt of the frames mentioned so I'll have a long list to collect and those to to revisit.

What are your favorite secondary weapons?

I just started using the Penta grenade launcher and I had no idea that I needed so much rag-doll physics in my life lol

I liked Nezha, quite a bit. The 3(?) as DR, the 2(?) thrown ring-thing amplifies enemies damage taken, 1 for speed, and I forget what the 4 is.....

Spoiler:

Currently, best in slot are Kitguns, but they take some time before you can get (the right) one(s)(lots of Solaris United standing, and materials). That said, if you have a(ny) riven - they can make any weapon feel powerful (assuming you have the kuva to reroll ones with garbage stats like the one I had with reduced recoil and increased reload time... for a Bow).

I liked the Hek, a lot, so for early game, I remember liking Lex Prime (very snipe-y), Twin Grakata (ammo just evaporates, though), heck I used the Kraken for quite a while... any kind of pistol I could shoot farther, with reasonable accuracy (and damage), close range was taken care of... I needed some reach.

tl;dr
Until I could finally build a catchmoon (because I had a riven for one), secondaries were a means to gain MR, honestly... none of them jump out at me as ‘amazing’. Atomos is a pretty sweet flamethrower, tho.

I'm really loving the atomos, with some good mods it does respectable damage and quite good status. i love having a crowd clearing backup weapon. Very handy when you're downed, does good cc while you get rezed, especially if you get explosive damage on it.

The Zakti is ridiculous, but a lot of fun.

Huh, i just couldn't get into the zakti. Used it to 30 then said bye bye. What setup were you using to get good results?

Anyone manage to Solo Uranus? I have a potatoed Rhino and the rescue and capture missions are kicking my ass as I can't defend others as much as myself...

Got Nyx cooking now. Can't decide if I want to use my last 20 plat or sell a frame. Guess I've had enough fun I could throw another $10 at them sometime.

Weapon slots full too. Maybe I'll sell one of the dex weapons.

Those were the main reasons I decided to just “buy plat” - I kinda wanted to keep everything, but that urge dissipated, and I’ll sell off items, now. I’m keeping frames (although I’ve sold off a few, once I got their Prime variant), and at least one of each weapon-type. I’ve even gone out of my way to buy the BPs for weapons to match the rivens I’ve gained. The frames I’ve sold are at least ones I could always farm for the parts, pretty easily.

Just got Ember Prime to 30. Working on Frost Prime, now. Just need the BP for Nova Prime.

Quill standings (ie: Eidolons) are still my biggest problem - it’s either “impossible” or trivial... there is no in-between.

Fortuna standing proceeds as fast as I can - trading gems for standing - limited by my daily cap. With 12M in the bank, I’ve just been buying the “level up” debts from Ticker. I’ve hit a wall with Little Duck, because I can’t get the gravimag parts until I reach Old Mate with Eudico, so I can do the Profit Taker mission... ugh.

Still, I’ve been enjoying the game, tremendously.

I've been away so I'm looking forward to getting back into it. Octavia just finished cooking and I'm REALLY looking forward to figuring her out.
I've finally got enough nodes unlocked that i can do most sorties while i finish up the star chart. Next up is getting into the open world stuff in the plains, which to this point have been completely opaque to me.
Also gotta finish up getting limbo and hope I'm around next time baro shows up so i can buy the inaros quest, he looks super fun.

I've soloed everything but the last leg of the Void so far, Nyx (Prime) has gotten me through most of it, paired with a Corinth shotgun she feels incredibly powerful. I remember Uranus being a definite speed bump for me, especially the boss mission, but it's definitely doable. I imagine any frame with a decent level of crowd control like Nyx or a powerful enough nuker should be able to help you through those rescue missions.

Oh and make sure you're using the right elemental combinations for Grineer (radiation and corrosive are good choices), which I only mention because it's the thing I forget to consider more than any other, and it makes a big difference.

Sorry, forgot to answer this. I won't defend it as a great weapon, but I had a lot of fun with it. It was an object lesson in trying to make clever use of procs. In defence missions, I'd empty the clip into a crowd, shooting different enemies, then the knock downs, staggers and gas damage would cause a wave of damage that was very satisfying. Then a nice AoE frame power and everything just dies.

Can't remember the exact build, but I did potato it and built towards conditions, obviously.

Actually completed my first co-op challenge room, when I was looking for the Lua Music Room (for Octavia). I’m glad the other guy knew what he was doing - got the mod that buffs the power and range of your aura

Uranus is certainly a bit of a jump from the early game. It seems to be where you really needs to have a primary weapon that is setup well and decent mods/upgrades.

As for secondaries early on before Riven Mods I used Lex Prime. My currently top secondary and really weapon overall is AKSomati's. They have a very good Riven disposition and I spent a lot of Kuva rolling them. However, I did not like them before getting the mod.

A riven with good stats can turn (almost) any weapon into one worth using (unless you reeeeally hate it).

Wink_and_the_Gun wrote:

Depending on disposition yes. Soma riven for instance have terrible disposition so you a near perfect roll to make the riven worth using at all and then it's only a very minor increase. However, Some thing like Aksomati you can get pretty insane stat increase (including 300+ dmg %) so it is much easier to get a usable roll.

I only have two Riven mods so far and both have crazy unlock conditions. Not sure I'll ever get to them.

One was something about headshots while in archwing mode on I guess plains or fortuna, where I've barely even been. No idea.

Most riven's have cheesy/easy ways to unlock. However, the arch-wing one is newer than I have done.

It would be worth it to forge a crucible of pain, bring it back to the glory days when Somas ruled the land.

I rerolled one, I forget what it’s for, but it ended up with +cold and +heat... built-in Blast damage. Oooh, I should see what happens if I put an electric/toxin in front of it.... will it combine with the first element listed? Or will it stay Blast, plus the added element?
