Hidden Gems of Amazon Prime instant videos

I’ve bought some of the books but not actually read them. I figured they must be good. It comes through in the show.

The title music is fantastic. BOSCH is the only show I can think of where I nearly always watch the title sequence.

I like it, but my wife cannot absolutely not stand the title sequence music. It drives her up a wall.

I got a feeling I can't let go...

Huh. It's the only show I don't opt to skip the intro, on the count of how much I DO like that music.

Is there a skip the intro button for Prime? After my re-watch of Babylon 5, I can quote the opening monologues in my sleep.

It's the repeating lyric that really gets on her nerves.

But also, Teresa just absolutely hates waiting for a show to start. Back in the 90's, there were countless times she ruined shows we were watching because she channel surfs during commercials, not getting back to the show in time.

Thats why TiVo was a revelation for her, and when the added the commercial skip button that instantly jumps over commercial breaks, doesn't even scroll, she was in heaven. It is the biggest reason we haven't jumped to a streaming cable service, as it sets her off that you get roped into commercials for shows we can easily skip them now.

She absolutely loves Star Trek Discovery, but, I swear to god, she is pissed every time we sit through a commercial for a service we are paying for. I'm trying to prepare her for the mandatory commercial future we are headed to. She is not going to handle it well.

Yes. But with Bosch, the opening credit are sometimes several minutes into the story. Then we scramble to hit before the skip button is gone, because we have been lulled into just watching.

Then she lets me know how much she hates that three music. I think the only theme music she actually wanted to hear every time was Justified.

It's one of my favorite intros on Bosch. Great show. I recommended to a friend who thought all the high points were gimics and I told her go two more episodes and she was hooked.

From memory .... "It was the dawn of the third age of mankind, ten years after the Earth Minbari war. The Babylon project was a dream given form. Its goal to prevent another war, creating a place where humans and aliens could work together peacefully. It's a port of call, a home away from home, humans and aliens, wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal; all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations, the year is 2256. The name of the place ... is Babylon 5."

How did I do RatBoy?

CAN SUCH A THING EXIST.

I always wanted a Video Toaster just because. I still have my Amiga 500!

When you're young, foolish and trying to make a name for yourself, yes, such a thing can exist

If that's Sinclair, then there's a line missing about drifters and wanderers I think.

Just looked, yes you are correct; I'd forgotten that whole entrepreneurs and wanderers bit with the soul hunter on screen; I shall bow my head in shame. It would appear I am no longer grey nor do I stand anymore between the darkness and the light *sigh*

It's ok. The Council was broken. Nobody stands between the candle and the star anymore.

Spoilers...?

Is it a spoiler if it was foretold by Valen over 1000 years ago?

Not the one

Man, Bosch, I really want to savor it and make it last, but keep finding myself going onto the next episode, already on Ep 6 of the new season.

Also count me in as loving that intro.

On PC there seems to be but not on the Ipad

Hmm.. I've read almost all the Connelly Bosch books. Maybe I should give the show a try.

There is a skip intro on the PS4 Amazon Prime app.

Its show by show. We noticed that they didnt have one for Babylon 5 regardless of what device streamed it, we had to step forward a few times every episode for the 3ish seasons before it lost our attention. By contrast Bosch had Skip Intro on PC, iPad, and the Firefox browser on the FireTV stick.

Just saw that Stargate Origins: Catherine is available on prime. I am watching now since I loved SG1 and Atlantis (never could get into Universe)

Anyone watch it? Am I going to be disappointed?

Only seen snippets, believe it was a web series tracing the original discovery of the gate and this is pretty much a super cut of them all back to back. Let us know if it's good!

I watched a few episodes when it was on the web, one of the worse things I have ever seen.

I loved SG:U, and that led my wife and I to watch a lot of SG:1 and DG: Atlantis. Overall, we preferred Atlantis, but mostly, the only thing about those shows that was interesting was the story, so bailed.

I would love to see a reboot of SG:1 with SG:U's production values.

I have the US amazon primer which I can access if I play around with VPN's.
I never heard anything from Krasinski's Jack Ryan, is the show worth the time?

Definitely.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something as rah rah America boo moose lambs as 24, but it was actually a lot more nuanced than that.

Jack Ryan was great. I hope it gets another season.

How about two more seasons?
