CD Projekt's Upcoming Title: Cyberpunk

Concur with you Nevin re: endings, after doing them all now including the secret one, it really is the most satisfying (as a Nomad anyway, have yet to try any of the others, will likely save that now for DLC/rehash time).

I'm intrigued at all the hacking talk, did no-one else go blades+sandevistan decks rather than cyber? Its insanely fun - very gruesome, and completely annoys the fixers, but oh well - keeping fixers happy will never let you go out in a blaze of electrified steel

I was very tempted to try this build as it also seems like a pretty unique and fun way of playing. I still like swinging the sword from time to time even if it's not very effective with my build.

Contagion is just so fun though . . . especially in a building with lots of security cameras.

Both Panam and Jackie are up there with Bioware old style folks IF only there was a little more interaction depth. Hopefully they'll fill out that lack with DLC and the rehash.

Oh man, maybe the garage and paint jobs are being saved for the multiplayer? I hope not because if that's the case I smell microtransactions coming down the pike.

I'm really not sure what they're going to do with mp.

I fear GTA Online, the open world version of which I detest with a passion - if its party based heist/gang war I could see some fun times.

Weird. As mentioned upthread, I found her to be almost a game killer for me. I genuinely liked Jackie, Evelyn, Takemura, Mama Wells, Patrice, and Johnny. Their voice actors were great and they felt like they authentically inhabited the world. Oh, and T-Bug - whose quest line was way to short.

Panam felt like a male writer's version of a cool girl from a mediocre TV show. For my wife (who loved the Witcher), Panam's presence nearly killed her interest in the game.

Even buying into her character as a hot mess / chaos agent who gets her friends killed through her bad choices, everything about every interaction with her screams "Stay the hell away."

I dunno, maybe I'm bringing some of my personal biases into this.

The more I play into the game, the more it feels like most of the story lines for the secondary and supporting characters feel stunted and choppy and unfinished. Also, the main story line feels like it is about half as long as it needs to be.

Yeah Panam was just annoying.

Horses for courses I guess. I thought she was great and massively enjoyed her whole quest line.

Haven't come across that character yet, but they can't be as bad as Tiny Tina.

Nothing is as bad as Tiny Tina.

Yea i liked panam quite a bit. not as much as Judy, but still very good.

Browsing this during a work call. https://www.cyberpunk404.net/

Man, I wish I could skip the heist on subsequent play throughs.

May I ask why, garion333?

For what it's worth, it's a mission I didn't care for either.

Yeah, I wonder at what point in the main story I will stop IF I play this more as an open world RPG (assuming mods become a thing and a lot of other maybes) For Skyrim I play up to the fight with the wounded Dragon and then stop the main quest, that is enough to get Dragons in the world.

I guess the Start of Act 2, or maybe even just enough to meet Judy and Panam

Oh, I enjoyed it the first time through and thought it was well done and tense. The illusion wasn't broken once for me the first time.

Naturally, on repeat, the illusion is wholly gone. That's not the issue, the issue is that it takes quite a while even with skipping dialogue and then you're stuck in the interlude, which also takes a while. I'd say it took me an hour to skip through all the crap again. That sucks (for someone with limited gaming time) and I have no interest in ever doing it again.

Exactly what I'm thinking of. Give me Johnny and let me roll. It's one of those New Game+ things that could happen, maybe.

From my previous posts you might have surmised that I've been doing a lot of crafting.
Imagine my surprise when I was going through and cataloging my weapon recipes that I had somehow, somewhere collected not one but two Iconic weapon recipes.

To be fair to the game I have been looting things using the hold "grab everything" option. To be fair to me the game does notifications in a painfully slow, irritatingly non-sequential, and sometimes arbitrarily delayed until end of combat way.

I beleive you always get the iconic upgrade recipes when you loot the iconic item. or do you mean fresh new iconics you didn;t pick up?

There's a few epic/legendary weapon recipes you get as part of quests or beating Organised Crime activities. That's how I got my silenced Legendary assault rifle that sets people on fire and electrocutes them and has 1000+ DPS.

Pro-tip for crafting or upgrading iconics - if you select an item, it will 'RNG' the DPS. However, this is not random, each level only has 2 or 3 values. So if you select another item, then go back to the one you actually want, it'll pick another 'random' value. Do this a few times and you'll see a 'lucky' 'random' roll that's usually 70-100% higher than the other values (i.e. a rifle that rolls 300-400 DPS will suddenly roll 750+).

I may have exploited this somewhat.

You can get that just by clicking the same item a bunch of times in a row - no need to click away and back. I'm not completely convinced that it's accurate, though. I crafted the rare Black Unicorn sword and did this "trick" - the DPS was changing because the attacks-per-second value was changing, and I was feeling all chuffed for finding that. Later, I was preparing to craft the same sword into the legendary version and saw that the DPS similarly changed when clicking it multiple times, but I didn't have all of the necessary crafting components at the time. I got what I needed, then went into the crafting screen and immediately smacked the craft button before realizing that I had goofed and neglected to "reroll" the DPS into the higher version - but 'lo and behold, what I got back was indeed the higher-DPS version.

I'm playing on PS4 Pro - it doesn't re-roll when you re-select the same item, for some reason. You have to select something else and come back again.

There are a few iconics on my list where I only got the recipe. No weapon in the ingredient list. After crafting the first tier the upgrade recipe requires the weapon.
Breakthrough - Epic level
Yinglong - Legendary level
Comrade's Hammer - Epic level
Sovereign - Epic level
Buzzsaw - Rare level

May be missing one, but those are the ones I KNOW I had to craft before being able to see what they do.

Crap the fight with Rhino is annoying! Dozens of attempts including switching out to Gorilla arms at one point. After two or three restarts you glitch and have to reload a save.

When I finally did drop her I noticed that I had another mission. Take out her boss. Well, after dropping everyone else in the building it was just me and an invulnerable Rhino. She would not drop that last health point. Sniper to the face. Katana to the everything. Beating her silly with a stun baton. Shotgun blasts. EMP Grenades. Poison, Laser, Incendiary, Environmental damage. I did not try running her over because I had brought my motorcycle.

Had to stop to go pick up the kids.

I had the mod that gives me a second or two of slowdown when someone spots me, which is fun so I decided to try out the on demand version. Turns out I had all the bits already so all it took was visiting a ripper.

First impression: I love the time compression effect but wish it didn't come with so much visual distortion. Very disorienting especially if movement is boosted and you're zipping around like a flea.
Blade arms... I'm not sure. I felt like I was just running up close and mashing attack. Where the katana is ending confrontations in 1-3 hits with the blade rig I was going through two or three combos each. Course... Comparing to a Legendary Black Unicorn.

Really wish it was easier to switch between hardware. Visiting a ripper makes sense, but then I'm bolting on mods to those spinal grafts while crouched next to a dumpster anyway. Just let me call in a mobile medic or something.

Edit: also not happy that home, bike, and car stashes seem to be separate.

Filled my home stash with a bunch of the iconics I collected and only one of the display slots filled in. Disappointed.

How do you increase your cyberdecks slots so you can have more different quick hacks? The legendary ones only top out at 6 slots. Any other way to increase this?

I think you can upgrade them and use perks for more slots. I have a Legendary deck with 10 slots I think.

Yeah, different decks focus on different things. You can find other Legendary decks that may have more slots.

Where did you find this deck? Or what is it called.

First RipperDoc is where I got mine.
