I'm hoping Barb WW is good as I feel like spin to win this season.
These portal thingies are quite exciting.
I had to lower my typical difficulty on my newb wizard. It makes leveling to 70 somewhat slower, but I really don't care because I'm having so much fun.
It puzzles me why all the "fun" developers remain on Diablo 3 and all the "slog" developer rule Diablo 4?
edit: also, wow, your character really is almost double the size on screen in D4
The Diablo 4 developers really don't want to end up with their systems in a place where 80% of the builds are dependent on hand-crafted 6-piece sets that give their component skills 10,000% buffs. I have enjoyed Diablo 3 a lot over the years, but I can sympathize with that point of view. I like having D3 as the crazy-go-nuts game and D4 as the more tactical option.
Oof, low-level Diablo III is a lot rougher now that I’ve played Diablo IV. Did they change the difficulty tuning while I wasn’t looking?
It probably doesn’t help that I rarely play Demon Hunter and have never played one on Switch. But Haedrig’s Gift is the one DH build I like and I’m in the mood for it…
Is there any actual difference between Seasonal and Solo Self Found if I’m playing entirely offline?
If you're starting from zero (no previous characters) there's no reason not to roll a seasonal character; that way you'll have access to that seasonal content should you decide to engage with it and the character will convert to a non-seasonal version when the season is over.
You misunderstand me. I know all that. Seasons have been around for a while.
Solo Self Found is new though. What does that do, aside from stop you from interacting with other people online? Because that will be accomplished by me not tethering my Switch to my cellphone while on the road. Does it change anything else? Tweak the drop rates? Have new items specific to that mode? It looks like there’s something different about Paragon at least, but I didn’t see any specifics.
It's just separate leaderboards.
-I've found with DH's gambling for one of the legendary quivers is key for 1-70.
My favorites are the one that turns chakram or rapid fire into a generator, or the one that turns hungering arrow into auto pierce and increases its damage like %500. (or is that a bow that does that?)
-The only thing that is "harder" are the new random spawn mini rifts. My recommendation is to lower difficulty to "Hard" for those. Even if you can survive them at higher difficulty, you will be missing out if you can't clear the all goblin, all boss, or all rare rifts. And by missing out on them, you will get less, mats, DBs, rift keys, act rewards, and legendary or set items. These rifts drop a TON of all these.
-My current build I cannot part with is LoD mephisto meteor. You just annihilate everything. I am tempted to roll with cooldown reduction to see if I can use the last rune that doubles the damage and size but adds a 15 second cooldown. But my current lightning meteor is working just dandy

Big agree on the first two.
I was trying to do rifts to level and didn't realize for a bit that those portals never spawned. But it was also funny, that they spawned so quickly I wasn't finishing bounties.
Yah, they have a habit of spawning after you are 60% done or more with a bounty.
The portals don't despawn if you leave the area so I often completed the bounty and came back to the portal. (assuming the bounty was even worth it in the first place)
One of my go to bounty to spawn a portal is Magda (or Sammash). In fact, if Sammash was the bounty, then I would clear him and then kill Magda before going back to the spawned portal.
