Diablo III Catch-All 2.0

It's on all of the console versions I think. Well at least on Switch and PS4.

Cool. Yeah I didn't remember it from the (relatively brief) time I spent on the PC version. Makes sense, seems like the console ports are all pretty much based on one code lineage.

I've put like 40 hours into the switch version, have at least 3 of you on my rifts list... and haven't seen any of these drops....

EDIT: They're non-seasonal, that explains it.

They're varying the season lengths more than usual - historically seasons have usually been around 3 months, but the last one was nearly 4 and the upcoming one is only 2 months. Also unusual for them to announce the end date in advance.

Quite weird to make it a short season when its also the first one in what, 12+ months?, that is even remotely interesting.

The last season just ended at the beginning of this month...

Also, there's the annual Diablo 1 special event going on this month.

Have you seen the buffs the set gear is getting? It's insane.

Remember, that Darkening event will be useful in levelling to 70 because of the density plus gear!

Ooooooh, I'm gettin all giddy! 1 week to go!

New patch is out and cleared a GR100 in 5:13. So damn strong now :p

Got the patch on Switch, disappointed the crafting filters still don't work at all. (Have Materials, Can Equip)

Oh jesus! They buffed LoN even more!
They were going to bump the bonus from 100% to 500%.
Now its %750. Wow, thats insane!
Might of Earth is 20,000%
Unhallowed Essence 350%
Shadow 2 piece 6000%
Raiment 6 piece 60,000%
Necro's got no love
Jade 2 piece will be even more incredible now 3500 (6x increase) seconds of haunt

The season starts Friday right?

I just got a fresh level 70 character for the first time, and I recognize precious few words in the previous post.

From playing a few hours of Adventure mode, I can tell that it's a way more efficient way to level a character than playing the campaign, but I still had to do it, at least for this first character.

750% probably wont be enough to keep up anyway :/ And they really should remove that Ancient item requirement.

Considering to jump into season on a Witch doctor. They have been so week for multiple patches. Maybe it is time for a return to HC too. Haven't played that since years ago when they had their massive lag issues. Think it got fixed, if nothing else, by the reduced player base

Someone cleared GR120 with a LoN Demon Hunter. It was top as of yesterday so I'd say it's plenty enough at this stage :p

Just enjoy the game however you want to. The benefit now is that you're 70 so this is where the real fun begins for many of us. Finding a build that you like and then just hunting for those perfect gear pieces and pushing your character as high as you can.

Greater rift tokens seem to be treated as crafting materials now instead of showing up in the inventory. Had me confused for a while, I was afraid I'd forgotten to pick them up. Was this change announced anywhere? (The main D3 site is down.)

Likely too early to call. I’ve seen theorycrafters put other builds at 126+
In the ‘crazy large numbers’ balance of D3, that means they could increase LoN to 1500% instead and it would still not catch up. Of course that is if LoN can’t go higher than 120, which it likely can.
Also some people have crazy paragon in non-season making balance weirder than in season.

The patch is likely going to be much much more balanced than the previous one regardless. For all sets.
A shame they didn’t tweak weak necro builds much, two of their builds were among the strongest before, likely still is, but two build are not much. Especially since those builds are kinda annoying to play imo. Maybe LoN can help there.

There's a few quality of life improvements in the patch notes and this is indeed one of them.

The red glowy beamy thing is my favourite addition.... I've yet to see it so far but only really played a few hours with the new patch, so kinda expected. Actually don't really want any primals yet anyway. Would rather save my RNG luck for the new season.

Where can I find the patch notes?

Here you go

I'll probably jump back into the PS4 version this weekend but since the changes amount to simply increasing multipliers (yet again), I don't think it'll hold my attention too long.

If you play season 16 then you get the effect of the RoRG for free which does allow for some extra flexibility.

I've had a decent break from Diablo, so S16 for me is looking like a lot of fun.

My Multishot DH went from completing GR 55 with 2 minutes left to clearing GR 60 with 6-7 minutes left with just the change to Unhallowed Essence. I would say that change bumped her 8-10 GR levels.

The 2 piece shadow also made a huge difference but even with 4 piece marauders, it can't compete with UE multi right now

The jade 2 piece will still be really strong for witch doctors. I need to find that legendary that allows haunt to hit the same target twice.

My WW Barb was comfortably farming GR70s before the patch. Logged in yesterday and I'm able to comfortably farm GR80s now with the changes.

By comfortably farming, I mean essentially zero chance of death (unless I screw up), full clear in ~ 3:00.

Now back to farming for primals!

That's weird - for some reason I can reach that site from work but not from home. As far as I can tell the only difference is that my home browser has Ublock Origin installed, maybe that has a problem. Thanks!

Does the Switch version have the armory tabs that people keep talking about? I've been playing through the Campaign (just got to Act V) and haven't ever seen them. I don't really need them at the moment, but was starting to read the new patch notes for PC and got curious.

Yeah, armories are in the settlements, generally next to your stash.

I'm still not finding anything like that. Do you need to have a level 70 character for it?

It's a big tall cabinet right next to where you stick all your stash.

It's also essentially pointless. If you're not a very high level you are using the best gear available to you. If you are super high level you've played long enough to get bored of a certain build and want a place to stash it. Odds are better that you've looked to another class for variety, not another armor set.
