I don't see any on the store page for the game.

I don't see anything new for TL2 in the steam CDR, but I did see this which is interesting.

Nevermind. Better posted in the P:T thread.

So apparently this game has hidden achievements, and I scored an interesting one last night.
"Overpower" - deal over 10k damage in a single attack. The more interesting part was the game gave it to me with a level 20'ish character with only points put into my passive skills.

Patch today. Notes.

Stability
Fixed a crash related to removing gems from items in multiplayer if they had been equipped.
Fixed a separate multiplayer socketing related crash. Both of these fixes should resolve most of the 'in-town' crashes some players have experienced, as the events triggered can crash other clients.

Gameplay
Fist weapons (and a few other innately enhanced items) can no longer make your attacks so fast that they are invisible with max attack-speed bonuses.

Languages
German is now available to all users.
Polish translation updates.
Russian translation updates.

Is that really a bug? It actually sounds really cool if you get it to happen...

That's what I was thinking. Sounds more like a feature. (e.g.Fist of the North Star )

Well I'm an idiot.. after playing so many hours of Diablo 3, it didn't dawn on me that Torchlight uses the Diablo 2 style TP scrolls and I should set one up before I go fight a boss. I blew way too much gold (not that GP is that useful) respawning at some fight I just couldn't get past (I think it was wave 3 of a big fight somewhere and I was afraid I'd have to start over if I respawned back in town).

Anyways I'm level 46'ish or so.. not sure how close I am to the end with my outlander. May want to start a melee'ish character after I wrap up this one.

Typically people end around 52-53ish. Given that's around 20 mins a level (with 2 1/2 levels going quickly from quests) that's about 2-3 hours maybe?

Okay, newbie question. I am thinking about getting this to play on my laptop while at my parents' for Xmas. They have wifi, but the connection speed is awful. If I am only playing SP, does T2 work like most PC games and only require a connection for copyright purposes, or is it like Diablo 3, where you're actually playing online even in SP? No way my parents' connection could handle D3 and the way it works.

Thanks.

no internet connection required at all, not even to register the game.

You download, you play. You can play offline from steam as well.

Cool. Thanks.

Man, I missed this game. The world just absorbs me, for some reason a lot of games with an open area and quests etc. don't grab me, but the art style, and environments are just so inviting, I always find myself going back.

Just finished my first playthrough last night, my outlander hit 53 after turning in the final quest.
I'm going to try a different character, but where is the option for new game+? I didn't see it, maybe I just need to restart?

If I recall, there was an individual you had to talk to in that last town to trigger it. I didn't go that route yet, opting instead to check out some of the maps for "random dungeons" and such.

Hi, new owner of TL2 here and a filthy skimmer with a few questions.

What's the recommended difficult for a casual dungeon crawler player. I don't want it to be mindless clicking, but i don't want to have to get too nuanced. Also, if there a GWJ steam group?

Thanks

I got in on the 4-pack sale. I'll be joining you guys on this game

Invitation sent.

I saw that you're playing the game as I type this, so you've probably determined whether the difficulty you chose is right for you. If you've never played this type of game before, start with Normal. Otherwise, go with Veteran. Even Veteran is easy most of the time, with challenging sections here and there.

MeatMan, could you shoot me an invitation too please?

Done.

I'll take one too, Meat.

Sent.

Thanks, I'll look for him next time I log into my outlander. For now I think I want to try a different character. Maybe even play co-op for the second time through.

I'm still churning through play through one but am always up for some co-op. don't have any last to speak of yet though until I get through it the first time.

So I got this gifted to me by Kommissar recently. I now have 2 engineers, one at level 17 and one at 28. Friend me up if you want to group. Account name is the same at this one.

Spoiler:

It's: Plavonica

You know, I need to put a fair bit more time into this one first, but from what I've seen so far (mostly last night with Fyedaddy) it looks like this one has shaped up to be very close to what I wanted Diablo 3 to be. I was very impressed last night with the performance of the game in multiplayer, as well as the variety and quality of the character options and loot.

Hell, I saw more interesting (and useful) loot drops in just the 2-3 hours I played last night than I saw throughout the entire levelling up process (level 1-60, not counting Inferno difficulty once I hit the cap) in Diablo 3.

I've previously lamented how horrible the itemization in D3 is, but playing just ten levels worth of Torchlight 2 really hammered that point home.

It's a wonder you saw anything with how busy you were laying waste to the countryside via your hand canon (laughing maniacally every step of the way).

That cannon was ridiculously entertaining. First time I saw it explode an enemy into a massive burst of gibs and blood, I was hooked! Then I added that passive skill with the chance to add a poison explosion to killing enemies and it got even better.

Got this gifted to me the other day. I was going to ask for an invite to the group, but it seems I'm already in it. Hit me up for co-op. I have a lvl 18 or so berserker.
