TERA Static Group Thread: Next Session Tuesday, May 8th

Renewal time is coming up, just advised the support folks that they have until Friday to either come up with a better solution than uninstalling the two products they believe are conflicting, both of which I use for work, solution doesn't have to be in place, even a date when they will be coming out with a fix would be nice. 18 or so other folks are doing the same thing, doubt at the end of the day its a large enough number to have any impact, but we'll see. Looks like the last patch added a lot more behind the scenes, my bet would be they found some loophole that could impact or undermine the chrono-scroll trading or similar and this is to protect against it, which makes complete sense, and if that's the case, adding more safe drivers and apps to its knowledge base doesn't seem a huge leap ... we'll see if they think the same.

Sorry to hear some of you are having problems. One of my party has regular crashing problems with Tera, and support has been less than stellar so far.

I'm curious how you all feel about the game a couple of months in. Right now I'm only playing one character, a lv51 sorcerer, and the quests, enemies and dungeons aren't as varied as I feel they could be. On the other hand co-operating to take down BAMs and bosses is still a lot of fun.

Have any of you reached the end game stuff? Is it worth sticking around beyond lv 60?

I hear the end game still isn't that good. You just run a couple dungeons over and over, and if you join a big guild you can do Vanarch stuff, but that's just grinding world bosses and BAMs.

My main is 54, and so far I'm still enjoying the game a lot even though things seem a little stale since there's no variety other than kill x amount of monster. The environments are always pretty to look at.

Infuriating thing is I've been having fun. In addition to the static group I've been having a blast with my son's guild. Nexus beatings and chasing around for the pts for vanarchs is about as solid as dailies ever are, but guild vs guild rivalries spice things up a little.

I've got a lvl 58 slayer, so I'm not quite at endgame yet, but I'll let you know. Honestly, even though the quests are boring and repetitive, I still really like playing Tera. The combat is so much fun that I just chill out, run around, and enjoy killing stuff.

Additionally, at high level, you can basically play for free. I've seen chrono scrolls go for as little as 1200 gold. You can easily grind out that much in playing for a day or two at high level. So, as long as I can play for free, I'll keep my sub going.

The thing that frustrates me the most is the incredibly long queue times for dungeons. There is still a level 54 dungeon that I need to do that I can't ever get into because I queue up and wait for 2 hours before I give up. The level 58 main quest requires going through a dungeon and I've yet to get in there too because of insane queue times.

Going to the movies tonight and I won't be home until about 10 ET. If anyone is playing, I'll jump on then

I'll be on the healer then.

I may not be on tonight. We've started up a Thursday night Starcraft group, so if a bunch of people show up to play, I'll probably play that. I should be around over the weekend though, so if you see me on, hit me up and we can play the priest & lancer.

On a side note, I hit 60 with my Slayer.

Ok. I probably won't get to play much over the weekend so we can just plan for next Tuesday then.

I've just started working on a revised edition of my first book, and with getting the house ready to possibly move, my gaming time is going to drop off dramatically. So, unfortunately, I'm going to have to drop out of our 2-man static group. I am going to keep playing Tera though, when I have time, so, if you see me on, definitely hit me up and I'll switch over to the lancer so that we can level together.

That's fine with me, I've been getting busier myself with work and cleaning the apartment.
