TERA Static Group Thread: Next Session Tuesday, May 8th

Seeing as how it's just down to 3 people now - Shyn, Alessi, and myself, should we consider a new time/day that would work better?

Shyn, I know you've been busy lately so what would work for you?

For me, the earlier, the better because I'm on the east coast.

East coaster here too, albeit with a tiny terror that can be a handful to 8pm cst. Off critical path, at least for next couple of weeks; tend to have more time at weekends, but can be tricksy setting hard and fast times for it.

What are good times for weekends then? Would you guys prefer playing earlier in the day, before your weekend activities with friends/family start or later in the day when things wind down?

I'm open to anything so just throw out some times/days and we'll try to hit em.

Saturday afternoons tend to be when I get a fair bit of playing in; not a fan of messing around outside once things pass 80, so I hide inside gaming :p

This Saturday (tomorrow) I won't be available till evening, but otherwise I'm usually free.

Alessi, your thoughts?

I prefer weekend nights. Unless it's raining, I have tons of yard work to do this time of year on the weekends. Week nights are fine with me too, just the earlier, the better. Wednesday and Friday night are bad for me though.

Ok, so Alessi prefers weekend nights and Shyn Saturday afternoons.

Would we be able to agree on something like starting at 6-7 EST for at least 2 hours of playtime, Saturday nights?

I can't start that early, but that doesn't really matter. I can make sure I'm a little farther along before we start. I'm probably more likely to get on at 8 or 9.

Similar deal, while afternoons are good, 6-9 EST tends to be dinner thru sorting out children bedtime routine; so later would be more likely for me too.

So, 9 PM EST on Saturdays then? Works for me. We can start the new schedule with a game tonight.

I should be on tonight. Probably before 9 with my main.

Just to clarify for anyone else that wants in on the static group, it's now scheduled for Saturdays at 9 PM EST, no longer Tuesday nights as originally planned.

For 6/23, we'll be starting with the Rain Cages quests in Cutthroat Harbor.

I'll still probably be on tonight...just not playing with my static group character. BTW, my Slayer is now level 40. Yeah me!

I think I'll be on after dinner to level my alt. Alessi, if you just finished the CR story quests we should team up with my archer.

We didn't move forward with our static group on Sat as it was just Alessi and I.

Shyn, are you still playing?

Sorry, back after a forced week away from the game and the boards; and yes, should be there this Saturday; I'm assuming my ex wife wont get dragged off to police cells two weeks in a row

Good to have you back, hope things are better for you now.

We'll proceed from where we left off this Saturday then.

Ex-wife in jail?!? Should provide interesting conversation for Saturday night. I hope everything is ok.

I bought a Chrono scroll today for 1650g. Nice to be able to extend my subscription by a month without paying cash money.

Wow, that is cheap. Personally, unless I was overflowing with gold I'd rather pay the $10/month with the discounted rate.

Nice find! Likely to be a late start for me tomorrow, appears I'm now part of the clean up crew for mother-in-law's BBQ, probably 10-10:30 EST before we'll be back home.

Seems like it'd be best to start at 11 EST tonight then?

We can at least finish off Azarel's Labyrinth.

I should be on. I'll probably be on earlier if you want to run our mains or the other alts.

Last weeks storms and downed trees now just a memory, cable's been on and off for couple of days, but has been pretty solid last 48 hours. Fighting with En Masse customer support atm; patched last night and got an error about a missing disk in drive DR1. Followed some notes on the boards and tried running in compatibility mode; worked for 10 minutes then game hung and the message about the missing disk reappeared. Got in touch with En Masse and they told me to delete and reinstall; done that and still getting the same issue and doesn't seem I'm along. Installing on wife's machine atm to see if that works; whatever they did with the patch this week seems to be painful for a fair few folks.

Ah, that sucks. Hopefully things can be resolved soon for you. Alessi and I haven't touched our static group characters so we should be right where we left off once you get back.

We have friends coming in from out of town tomorrow, so I'm not going to be able to make it on Saturday night. You guys can go on without me though and I'll catch up. Just let me know where you finish up.

Still fighting with En Masse at my end; they've now got me trying a ludicrous combination of compatibility mode switches, which allow the game to run ... until there are more than 8 or so combat particle sources on screen at which point it explodes in a shower of error FFFFF:FFFFF

Seems clear that the US end is limited in their ability to either release info on or affect changes to the core with any rapidity. Given its appearance with that last patch, and that from forum comments its affecting tens of customers if not more, I'm hoping that somewhere in Korea they've reviewed the last patches change lists and constructing a new one less likely to trigger this side effect, but if they are, they or the US support folks are not letting on.

Wow, still no resolution to the bug huh.

Let us know if it does get fixed though, otherwise we'll just cancel tomorrow night's session.

Just been through another round of emails, ran another magic tool of theirs and bounced its report back; so we'll see, but I'd say if you don't here something positive here before 3pm this afternoon, that its not going to happen for me tonight. As I found last week, Cinderella style their customer support turns into a pumpkin shaped answering machine mid-afternoon on the weekends.
