Next Session: BAMs and Bastion. 8pm Central Time, Tuesday the 8th of May.
Per Zero, here's his suggestion for what to have done for the 8th:

- Finish Valley of Titans -- this will put you between 19 and 21, depending on how much rested XP you had and how many repeatable quests you've done.
- Have all the guild quests available at level 20ish -- this will include quests for two world bosses.
- Have the quests that lead you into northern Oblivion Woods -- this is the lead in for Bastion, starting with a group quest to kill some basilisks

Group Members:
- Bean: Lancer
- Zero: Archer
- Shazam: Warrior
- Shyn: Mystic
- Hack: Priest
- Kilanash: Slayer
- KillTrash: Slayer

We have a 'full group', but please put in a post if you are interested in participating in the Tuesday night static group, along with the class you intend to play. Availability is a fickle thing with long-term game commitment.

Group Intentions: Level/play TERA till we get bored. Realistically I'll be happy if we make it through to the fall.
Interaction: Everyone please download and install Mumble, the VOIP client. We'll use it to communicate and coordinate as we play. And, probably, tell bad jokes.

As I mentioned in the other thread, maybe an informal session on May 1st to group quest through the starter areas?

In any care, aside from May 15th when I'll be on vacation, I'm in with my archer.

I'm in to priest with a priest. I think I'll probably play a 'zerker or a sorc as an alt.

Count me in as part of static group. My initial intent when it was mentioned was to roll a tank, but I am flexible if someone else wants the role.
So I'm in as tentative lancer or warrior and will swap to warrior or zerker if I need to be DPS instead.

What time should we plan on meeting up on May 1rst? I'll hold back playing my character until May 1 in hopes of running newb island with some folk.
Looking forward to it

Incidentally, my alternate will either be a mystic or some melee (maybe warrior?) since I've already got a sorcerer running on another server.

Count me in as warrior, but I can pick something different for static group if need be.

EDIT:
We should set firm goals for everyone to reach by the 8th
- level
- quest to get to

I'm assuming everyone will join Hookers and Blackjack then?

Ok, add me to the mix; Bean you keep the lance, I'll flip over to mystic for some cc, utility and backup healing.

If thats the plan, I can roll with it. I'll create my lancer when the servers open on Saturday and post the name here.

That's our five, but if you pop into this thread and you are interested in participating, still feel free to pipe up! We can add you to the list, and by watching this thread we can schedule around people's ... you know, lives.

Added mumble infoz to the OP. Everybody make sure your stuff is up to date.

Impressed, and surprised, that there are no slayers or beserkers. They seemed to really dish out the pain in the groups I was in during beta.

I'd be willing to swap out to a DPS if needed and let Shyn tank on Lancer or let Shazam tank or warrior. Having two hybrids will have high survivability but low DPS at this point. If we're all content with that, Im good, just throwing that out as an option. I am completely flexible on the matter before we get the ball rolling.

If we have enough interest, we could run multiple groups. I am checking with a RL friend to see his interest as well.

Yes had similar worries, toyed with sorc or slayer rather than the mystic both not bad DPS, but ended up settling on mystic for the utility (extra heals, extra rez, summon party members, droppable heal orbs, effect purging and excellent kiters). Will likely have a sorc alt floating around; if we're looking low on DPS I can switch out, or rotate Kila in; ultimately happy to stay flexible.

Late to the party I see. If there's a no-show for the group night I'll substitute in to Slay stuff.

I have my slayer at 23, but I don't think I will be rolling another character, specially with GW2 beta weekend happening. If I'm online and you need a DPS at my level range, I'm glad to join you guys!

Aman Lancer named Beans

Hey, so, what's a good time for folks on Tuesday?

Say 7pm Central?

I'd say the 'level goal' should still be 18 by next week. Unless I'm the only one that didn't level during the end of Open Beta.

For Tuesday the 8th I can do 7 central.

Most weeks, 8 central will probably be better for me since we try to hit the gym between 7 and 8 central.

For this Tuesday (the 1st) I'll should be around to do group questing with anyone who is interested, with the above mentioned gap sometime between 7 and 8 central.

Oh, and as mentioned before, I will be vacationing on the 15th, so hopefully you'll be able to find someone to fill in for me then.

That works for me.
Is the goal a fresh start or are we meeting up at a certain level?

edit: nvm, apparently I should learn to read the original post!

I can be flexible on Tuesday nights.

7PM CST or later works for me.

No way I'm "only" gonna be lvl 18 on May 8th hehe

Count me in if there is room. I have a Sorc and a Lancer that could be ready no problem. What class do we need?

8 central will tend to work regularly here, gives me a chance to get kids settled before we kick off.

Atm you might run into Neurosis (mystic I'll likely keep with the static group) Shyn.Darkly (slayer), Shyn (lancer) or Icaria (sorc)

We're actually pretty close to being able to run 2 groups.
And even if we can't run 2 full groups of 5, having 2 groups of 4 would get a lot more GWJ folk involved.

We'd need a 2nd healer and tank to make two groups happen. Not sure if Shyn has any intent to heal on mystic or if Shazam has any interest in tanking on warrior though.

Sure, I can try evasion tanking with the warrior.

I might get a tank and healer leveled up to 18 by the 8th just to have some alts chambered to fill some roles if need be.

Have two mystics in the mid-teens atm, one I didn't like the look of so I redid, but hadn't got around to killing her off yet :p

Given how easy it is to out-level the spots where you get drops for enchanting, I'll probably keep around, farming tier 1 mats if nothing else until things settle down and people get a chance to get in and find a toon they want to move forward with

I'll have my lancer up to 18 by Tuesday then.

To clarify: Having specific characters for the static group allows folks with less time to invest experiential parity. That is, the character you play in the static group should (theoretically) *only* be played with the static group. If we have to gain levels in between weeks to meet dungeon requirements, that of course requires outside-the-group playtime.

It'll be no fun whatsoever if we're in a level 18 dungeon and some level 30 is in our midst wrecking face. That defeats the point of a static group, in my mind.

IE: This is why static group players tend to have more than one character.

Level 18 hits pretty quick. Even as a lancer that solo's things quite slow compared to a pure dps class, it did not take long. Having 8 days from today to hit 18, even with limited playtime, should not be that much of a feat.

Level 18 hits pretty quick.

Seriously.

Protip: Don't start Valley of the Titans. You will accidentally end up level 21 like I did on my archer last night.

Good advice Zero. I kept saying to myself "let me finish this one quest hub" and before I knew it I was 18 and just as I got to Valley of Titans. I stopped (like 2% up 18). So depending on what goes on Tuesday night, I will mess around with an alt if I have any in others level ranges, or I'll just play my Mystic and leave my Lancer at 18 for the following week.
