I've lost count of beers. Hapy Christmas, veryone!

Holiday at my in laws and then my family. There isn’t enough alcohol in this time zone to help.

Broke into the bourbon over here. The night improved exponentially.

Wife requested family board game night for her birthday. A nice glass or two of An Noc helped with that.

Googling An Noc didn't bring up anything alcoholic. Did you mean this? https://ancnoc.com/

Egg Nog probably.

That makes sense in this context....

I think that at least one typo is required when posting in this thread while drinking, eh?

Yes, it was anCnoc.

Egg nog is nasty.

Hi All, My turn!

I rarely dring. But my girlfriend lieks wine and I am tring to match her glass for galss. She's in scotland with her fiance looking for weeding veunuse. Yeah, its eweird. We're polyamoursou. Still , its' tought,\

Seriouislty, I am onely two glasses in. It's a nic e= Saauvignon Blanc form New SZealand, which is her favotute. I have zero tolerance, beign that I rearely dirngk. Granted, I can form full sentences, but my typing sucks unless I'm really paying attention. See? Slow typng works better ,
I have theree glaases to go. I can see htis going south quickly. She drank ovver the course of hous, and I'm doing it in half the time.
Pause. heres the sitch. I'm recently separated tfrom my wife. My gf basically saved me from an abusove relationship. We were there for reach other in a fiffivulyt situation and we gre w close. She' sbeen polyamaorus her whole life. Here mother has multiple partners. Her Fiancee i sa bit jealous of us, but he's got muktiple partnesrs too. I'm the only one with one. well, now two i gues. It's weird trying to wrao your head around the concept if youv'e been momogamous your whole life. We fell hard for eac htoher =, and now we're dating, or, nmore than dating, I've known her for almost a decade and I've seen her finve days a wek fo r nmost of that time. So it geel d like more. WE're not quite pattners, but i could be considered a secondary partnet. It turns ont that way more of my friend =s are poluyamoruse than i thought. I've learned of at least 3 difrfrent feiend that were super happy rrhey had domeone to talk sto now that they nkow im in the fold.

It' srough, but even the terhapuist think swe're better ofgf separated. My soont0 be exwife is makng progress. HSes an angry person. Shes a mean persn. She reallky only cares about what others think of her. this is her drigving motivation. every decuson is made based on what other parrent sor peple or rather how those will juefge her. .

I’m kinda jealous, actually... takes me a whole bottle of scotch just to get to “doesn’t walk straight”... I feel like getting to a “shalalm baskur worthy” state would put me in the hospital...

Baskur al shalalm, Toddland!

Part of me wishes this post happened like ten minutes after the first one.

So apparently Beck is the breakdown master.

Was I asleep? When did that happen?

I'm about to be trapped in Boulder COunty, Colorado, where there will soon bwe so much white stuff falling from the sky that I don't even know how to react. For god's saeke, I'm from a place wheree we fraek out about RAINcoming down from the sky, and now it's goign from 75 degrees down to 40 ine one single day and shnow and wind and blizzard andall kinds of terrifying stuff that strange fok call"weather:". I'm such a fairy princess about driving in he snow - let alone fling -- that I'm going to stay an extra day and ejnoy this mysterious frozen substance falling from teh sky until things settle down or a hange. Also 45mph blizardy winds are like super bad for flying.

So to celebrate, FIrestone walker Sucaba is like 13.4% aabv and will mess you up. It litearllly has 42 ifferent flavors in it and is abslutely magnificent. And that's after the flight of pick-your-own beers, so you know the waitness was cute enougha dn persuasive enough to try some afte alll that. FOr me to try some after. You knwo what I mean. Also bison meatloaf, but ahat doens't make you post in this thread the way tat Colrodaro beer does.

Sayong thing about the Boulder COunty area -- they love heir bbeers. I can't throw a thing and evn hit a microbrewery around here. I *can* thrown a thing.

Wait, doen'st Clocky live around here? Shhhhhhhhhh don't tell her I'm here.

Rum is always a bad idea as I conclude from years of observation

Maybe not the best forum to suggest it, but if you're staying an extra day in the area -and hangover permitting- I'd recommend renting some snow shoes and getting up in the mountains. Estes Park is close to Boulder and the Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park is right there. I went snowshoeing there last week and in the high country it really feels like being in Skyrim, sans dragons.

Archangel,
Welcome to Denver Metro, or "Front Range". I moved here nearly 30 years ago. It'd take a lot to get me to move away. Yes, today should be interesting. Our climate is hard to predict exactly. It could rain until midnight then dry up. It could snow at 10 am. Probably something in-between. Stay here, stay safe, stay warm, watch the snow fall (pretty good chance we'll get some). Our roads are dangerous, due to the temp fluctuations.

I could go on about what people THINK Denver weather is like, and what it is REALLY like, but Running Man is right, probably not the right forum.

Oof, thank goodness for the pre-frontal cortex when one is sober. Believe it or not, among all of the misspellings and questionable punctuation, the ABV value of 13.4% for the Firestone-Walker Sucaba was not actually a typo. Yowza!

Thanks, everyone -- I'm here on business, as usual, but this time I was actually just up at Estes Park over the prior weekend with my cousin. It was, as you say, spectacularly beautiful and definitely Skyrim-y. Even just wandering around tonight here in town in the falling snow was quite peaceful (and novel) to this winter-weather sissy.

All flights out of DIA were canceled tonight anyway, so I'll be headed back tomorrow night. Until next time!

Noted, archangel doesn't have wings....

Redbull gives you wings

Did someone say rum?

I'm sober enough to find this thread, but drunk enough to find it mandatory that I post a shalalm baskur.

Housewarming for my lab crew, drinks with my thesis supervisor. Kinda weird but so nice to see everyone outside of research nonsense.

My supervisor is VERY German. Apparently my favourite pretzels are sh*t. I hope this doesn't affect our professional relationship.

what up.

I like this site. You people are all right.

it took me way too long to find this thrad btw, shame on you all for not posting in it since may

You do not find the frapulism thrad. The frapulism thrad finds you.

Never goes out of style

mmmm.. my baby sister is 20 years younger than me and she moved away at the beginning of the month to go to school. she's kind of my best friend and I miss her. she's the main reason I play apex, so I haven't played since she left. hopefully she gets her connection up and running tomorrow and I get to play with her again. ugh. the time difference is going to be a pain though. hopefully I;m sober enough or not hung over too much to play.

My wife made me a "quarantini" with vodka and a fizzy vitamin c tablet from Norway. It was like a zicam flavored alka seltzer with vodka. I feel like I had a pan galactice gargle blaster without the appropriate rehabilitaion organizational support.
