The worst gamertags you have seen

Pages

I'm continually amazed at the kind of ways people to choose to identify themselves online and some of the incredibly stupid gamertags I've run across playing public matches. Last night, H to the Ickle and I were playing with a friend, and invited in a pubbie, and his gamertag was just a gem:

xYourMomsBFxx

Now THAT is a classy way to introduce yourself to the online world. So, for the hell of it, a "dumbest gamertag/ID I've ever seen" thread.

Why Was I Banned has a fair number of horrible tags. Of course most of them got their users banned. I think my favorite is "SteamySemenStew"

I can't imagine wanting the world to know you as...that.

I'm sure the BF2 old guard will remember our friend White Dragon.

I've seen some really inappropriate tags and this one's so bad I'm not sure I should even repeat it, so I'm going to at least spoiler tag it. You've been warned.

Those are at least clever and meant to be humorous in a vulgar way. I'm more negative about stuff like "x[[deADeyeKILLER]x" or "////blOOdDealer///". Following the principles of capitalization is important, people.

I agree. Wonky looking names are especially irritating in games where your name flashes in bright letters on the screen when you get a kill.

I used to sometimes go by [TMNT]Donatello. You know, once I figured that there were too many Vash_The_Stampedes out there.

Huh. Do you play Kingdom of Loathing?

Everybody loved the nunchucks, man...

Can someone explain what the hell is with the non-alpha characters and such in names (/[{x\)?

How would you have a conversation?

Them: "Yo, my name is forward-slash forward-slash open-bracket x x dreamraper x x end-bracket backslash backslash, what's yours?"

Me: "Dirk."

Them: "Like the Diggler dude?!"

Me: "No, like Dirk the Daring, jackass."

Whenever I see people with 'JEW" in their name, I assume they aren't Jewish.

I wandered over to Why Was I Banned and saw this gem:

Your account was banned for too many forced name changes in a short span of time. All of Which involved Hitler and Condoms.

BRILLIANT.

I have a Jewish friend who preferred variations on "uber Jew."

I saw one called TheDumpSweats. Lovely way to introduce yourself to the world.

There were people who liked Donatello the best?

Non-funny answer, it's a cheap way to get a name that's already taken. So rather than doing DeathDragon111 you can just be (X!DeathDragon!X). Or they may just think it looks cool. Kind of a keyboard version of spraying your illegible tag on the side of a railcar.

Honestly I can't recall any really bad gamertags as I tend to wipe them from my memory as quickly as possible. I know I saw several horribly racist/sexist gamertags while playing APB but I kinda' expected that. I mean when general chat is filled with people screaming racial slurs and still using "gay" and numerous variations thereof as the "ultimate insult" you can't really expect too much civility and creativty from the players when they're coming up with names.

Yes. All the smart ones.

Yep, that's where I knew the name from, too. Come to think of it, I think I know you from KoL. Small world.

At one point I was toying with the idea of using "Jew Juitsu" as my GWJ tag.

He's the nerd of the group; how can you not think he's awesome? Plus, he speaks softly and carries a big stick.

Leonardo was the leader and carried a katana. He is obviously the best one.

I assume anyone with xX Xx, etc, in their name is a straight-edge.

Raphael, he's the leader of the group, transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop!

Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines

Funny, I thought they were making kissy faces.

Maybe they just really like Vin Diesel vehicles?

That's a fact, Jack!

At Poker Academy Online we had a great community to play with fake chips, but the software kept track well enough that thegame's economy promoted pretty good play. Eventually we had a really strong community.

After this video:

I logged in with the username: Donkey Hitler. It was viewed in really poor taste and I had to nix it. Hitler is never funny. Well, except for all of the videos in that meme.

Some of the folks in the community really lost it, though. I dropped it fairly quickly, as I was not trying to rile anyone up.

Pretty sure he meant they had the intelligence of a measuring device.

I've not come across too many terrible gamertags, though, uh, it may be a matter of perspective. (I've been on IRC a very, very long time. There are some horrible names floating around dalnet. Most are just really stupid or uncreative.
