Giant Bomb Bomb-All

So does that make it #2 or #11?

Spoiler:

Having zero investment in the game, I kinda want it to be #11 as I'm finding Nier fans as insufferable as the Undertale & Bloodborne cultists. :p

No idea! Well, I at least think it'll make the top 10.

If you think Odyssey is better than BOTW I don't know what to tell you.

I totally agree, but it's super hard to say whether the Giant Bomb gang as a collective will have anything approaching good sense in that regard.

As a Nier fan, I hope I don't come off as insufferable. I get why many/most people won't necessarily connect with the game in the same way I did, but that game and ending resonated with me in a way I haven't seen from a game in a decade or more.

I'd say the Giant Bomb staff in general have a fondness for Mario games that far exceed Zelda. Can't say I agree even slightly but it is what it is.

If Austin were still there I'd say BOTW might make the top spot. Without someone good at debating (i.e. not Dan) who loved that game to bits and with Jeff obviously not into it, I can see it lower down.

Still not below Wolfenstein, though. I don't care how awesome those set pieces were (and they were awesome), that's a Moment of the Year winner and a barely in the list overall.

Brad just put this on Twitter.

Things are getting out of hand.

Oh jesus.

26 hours

Yep. It was a pretty good year.

Edit: well, for video games anyway.

To be fair, 10 hours of it is Dan yelling about fast food and wrestling.

Well.

If I listen to that exclusively that should last me the entire month of January.

So who's gonna try their hardest to avoid spoilers and listen to the full 26 hours to get the reveals in "real time"?

That is great and very funny but... shouldn't there be 25 squares?

That said, at least 14 of those are locks.

Yeah, there was also no Free Space in the middle, but what can you do.

I got BNGO

Hmm... four letter word beginning with "B" associated with the site...

Bong.

Nailed it!

This year, that card needs an "100 X jump out of a plane."

Man, if I focused my GOTY podcast listening time to a craft I'd be like a concert pianist by now, lol.

*laying on his deathbed* "I wish I had listened to more Game of the Year discussions. Save all my podcasts for my childre......"

That's pretty amazing. It's understandable though as the crew has continued to grow and each person I feel like adds exponentially to the argue time, depending on their personality and choices of course.

Really cool stats to see!

I don't remember, do the GOTY podcasts go up the last week of the year, or the week before Christmas? If it's the week before, I can mostly keep up. If it's the week after, I'm off work and probably not listening to podcasts until the next week, so I'll have a massive backlog.

I just looked because I was curious, and last year the first podcast day went up December 26, so the last week in December. I sure wish it would go up the week before while I'm still working.

They said they would start releasing on Dec. 25th.

Booooo! I mean, I get why, but still, BOOOOOO!

And I'll be really sad if Holiday Hitman isn't repeated this year.

I want more Holiday Hitman and also another Beastcast Fiasco. What is Hard Markinson up to? The people need to know!

Would Dan be involved? He might actually grasp what D&D is like if played along in Fiasco XD
