The devs have acknowledged that as being bugged. Expect it to be corrected in a future patch.

Sweet! That damn buzzing sound over and over and over and over...

Quick alt-tab fixes this until it's used again.

I just got the game to update by forcing an update in Origin.

Yeah I tried that the other day (release) and it kept patching the same 40mb patch over and over, and all it did was reset the activation program. It even did that a day or two after release, I guess to make sure I wasn't in the EU? :p

Didn't really give me much confidence in Origin.

I just checked it again and it says up to date.

Anyone else having problems with their friends list loading in Origin? I can play multiplayer just fine, provided I only want to play with pubbies. Boo!

Yup. Wanted to jump into a quick one before work, but F-list won't load and the waiting time for pubby games are way long.

Still seems to be down, 5 hours later.

I had this problem last night too, but a quick restart of Origin fixed it. Doesn't seem to work today though. :?

Also the in-game leaderboards are wonky. It only lists 3 friends for me, while I should have 50 or so.

New balance updates today:

Apparently not in the notes, they have added a 20k equipment pack to the store for in-game credits only. It says it gives 5 random equipment items. Of course there are only 4 usable ones, so I guess it includes the ammo/powers ones too?

Would have been nice last night when I ran out of rockets completely.

Then again 20k is a lot of credits.

Yeah, I see that in the store now. Don't have enough credits at the moment to buy it.

I'll be on 360 tonight. Please join me.

I'll probably be there too.

I wonder if that has a chance for the equipment capacity increases, or if it's purely to resupply.

BTW, if you find yourself running out of rockets, just don't spend them unless you really need to. I always see people shooting them off as they're waiting for extraction on Silver and, y'know, if that's what you guys want to do with it then that's fine, but how I see it there's not a lot to lose by wiping at that point. You'll still get all your credits.

This has been my rule with them lately too. Once we kill the last priority target on that round and earn the last of the credits, no more rockets.

I had 40 rockets stock piled, so I'm the opposite. I've started using some of my supply more often.

I would rather not use rockets before wave 6 but after that it gets crazy with multiple banshees/atlases/primes coupled with multiple supports like phantoms and flamethrowers so I try to get the big stuff out of the way quickly.

If you get a shot where there are 2 Atlas + 1/2 Phantoms, or 2 Banshees + a Brute, or 2 Geth Primes + 3-4 Flamethrowers... well yeah, if you use one missile to take out multiple bosses, that's a solid shot.

Quick tip, on most of the maps it's not a good idea to rush straight to the LZ on the last wave. You're better off clumping up at an adjacent corner to draw the swarm away from the extraction zone for the first minute or so, and then relocating en masse.

This is particularly critical on the map with all the buildings and the sunken LZ. It's extremely silly to immediately pull back to that horribly indefensible position.

Something is buggin with Origin. My friends list won't populate. Just have the spinning circle there.

Finally fixed my by using the "go offline" in settings. Then when I clicked to go back online, everyone popped up finally.

I hadn't realized the Quarian Engineer was a rare. I unlocked that fairly early. That may explain why I haven't seen another one. I didn't quite understand how to play mine though.

Tried that and it did not work. I can see the "store" just fine. But no friends list. First time I have had this issue.

It's definitely a good idea to coordinate this in rounds prior so you don't have people running off in different directions attempting to lure enemies away. It seemed that sticking in a group of 4 is the easiest idea. 2 and 2 is really risky. Also, it is probably a good idea to coordinate the spot you want to defend from well beforehand. Hopefully, you would have at least 2 routes to the landing zone so you have a couple options to avoid enemy clusters on your run to the landing zone. If your whole group runs into a phantom or something on the way back, you could get in trouble.

I've had that issue lots. I've just restarted Origin until it fixes itself. The issue tends to pop up when you wake a computer that's been in sleep mode, and you are logged into Origin during that process.

That is my favorite character so far. The Decoy ability is very handy to keep enemies firing away from you, and the Energy Drain power is very powerful with a very short cooldown if leveled right. I rarely use the Inferno power. Using Energy Drain plus a Raptor allows me to play more like a soldier.

I picked this up today for PC on origin.

Please add me to the steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7...

Lookin for some multiplayer action.

I had the same issue and this fix worked for me. Good work!

Nice game, but it's a bit buggy.

Invites sent! If you are Fuzzballx on Origin, I sent a friend request to that ID. If it isn't you, whoops.

You're thinking of the Salarian Engineer.

The Quarian Engineer is the one who has pyro, cryo, and a combat drone.

In fact, the Quarian Engineer has a turret, not a drone.

Ha! Yeah, that's correct.

Rallick wrote:

Speaking of which, did they make the turret useful? I haven't unlocked the class in the full game but in the demo either the turret was severely underpowered (compared to the drone, that is) or I was using it wrong.

The turret seems a bit underpowered, although with the close-range options (flamethrower, shock attack) it feels a bit better. You've got to essentially max out that line to get that, though, and that's a lot to pay for what you get.

I thought the flamethrower was extremely useful in the demo--it distracts guys for easy sniping.

Dr._J wrote:

Honest question here, but what makes them such a liability at the higher levels?

You pretty much have the answer: Nova. Sounds like you've adjusted to the difficulty jump well, but many do not - I include myself in that. A more careful style of play definitely removes the liability part, though I have to wonder how effective that leaves the class, since Nova seems to me to be its best asset.

I've had some luck in silver with Novaspam taking the Nova upgrade to do 60% damage at 50% barrier cost, and then still only novaing once, so that I have some barriers left over to protect me until I can charge again. Even so, it's still risky and I died every other round or so. Also, at a high difficulty with a single weakened nova, it's not all that damaging: my main use at that point was bullet sponge. Though I suppose that's still a very helpful role.

As others have said, I've seen some players who can do well with human Vanguard on Silver. I just couldn't tell you how, myself. Without Nova, I just stick to firiing off my Avenger instead - and at that point, I would think a Sentinel or Soldier would have been the better choice.

LobsterMobster wrote:

As with all classes (except maybe the Sentinel )

Hey now, lay off the Sentinel. I'm quite happy with my Shotgun-toting Sentinel leveled for max survivability.

emyln wrote:

On Silver I've found Singularity to be not quite as useful.

I've seen Human Adepts be quite effective on Silver. Singularity + Warp is always great against groups.

Geth Pyro
- Damage of flamethrower increased from 50 to 65

Because they weren't enough of a menace already. :O At least they apparently dodge less now.

It sounds like the days of Geth-farming may be over. Cerberus as weakest enemy now?

And: Noooooo, my Vindicator.

Once deployed, though, it's independent so long as it can survive, and it gives the enemy something else to shoot at. Those are advantages other 1-shot powers don't have.

Yeah that turret seems awesome for tanking/agro value alone. Just keep those flamethrower guys off me for a few seconds.
